you the easymon, you tell me the EZ ways lol jokes aside everyone has their own approach but i prefer analyzing the market before thinking about how to structure a trade (versus some guys who try to force a trade/ their preset "trade template" on their market, if that makes sense) eg. value guys who get slammed on a momentum market/ vice versa then it's the usual asymmetric risk/reward etc - but i don't think the general description in words can fully capture the subtleties, because ex-post everyone can rattle off the same talking points (even the journalists etc) but it's the ex-ante eval of risk/reward that makes a difference i will say this, some (ie. many) of the "professional" institutional players out there are not very sophisticated in actuality, and part of the trick is to use the flaws in their analysis against them how about you, what's ur approach?
Very simple price action at support and resistance. eg, for ng, if you saw LP's video, he's on about his methodology as applied to ng. That got my attention, not to apply his technique but to take that as a heads up for a possibility for 'action' in the ng contract. So it was worth a mosey over to the charts and look at daily and 5minute charts. The daily has not produced a price action setup so come back tomorrow kinda thing. On the 5minute chart there was action and a price action setup at resistance not for a long entry but for a short. Fine by me. No muss no fuss no handwaving explanations of this that and the other. Simple.
