That's a very difficult question to answer. There are a lot of different factors that go into it. Some people aren't willing to sacrifice their own happiness for their children's happiness. Some people are moving away from religion and the concept of marriage. Some people are having kids as a way to maximize what they can receive from welfare.

Statistics show that there's a significant correlation between single parent households and things like: test scores, income levels, crime rates, & incarceration rates. People talk all the time about different types of privilege. The biggest privilege someone can have in life is being born into a family that will care for them and teach them the things they need to know to be successful in life.

If you stopped buying Gillette over a shitty commercial, you got triggered and are the opposite of masculine. Turn in your man card and pick up your tampons to stop your vag from bleeding.

If you don't buy their razors because you realize they're over priced, congrats, you're smart with your money.

  4. Really? I thought the boycotters were the ones with special needs, making their demands known.

Exactly. Not to mention Americans have ADHD out the ying-yang. We're probably the only people in the country that even remember the ads at this point. Certainly the only ones talking about it, outside maybe some sub-reddit for nuts and/or ad folks.

I'm not saying they're infallible... but P&G wrote the book on advertising. Studies have been done time and time again that prove Tide is no more an effective laundry soap than Purex (or the like) is.... but walk into any laundry-room in any house over $300K and see what detergent is on the shelf. Ditto for any young female that has a high paying job, and even many that don't. P&G is not a consumer products company, its a consumer advertising company. They built an empire with their prowess.

And btw... Nike is still $82, despite those billions of shoes Kaepernick allegedly sold.

Gillette did the right thing, trying to encourage men to be men, not woman, woman do a perfectly good job being woman and aren't encouraged to be men, so why turn men into woman, leave us be, we need men to fix cars, build roads, bla bla bla and no not many woman can do this stuff, hence we need men, men are good, not all men are rapists infact very few.

Woman are good at there own shit to, we need both for society to work and to get things done.

Well worth 6Bil $$$'s, we salute you Gillette!!

  9. Though I don't think anyone has kids for the welfare check, there are definite correlations between single parent households and those things you cited.

If births out of wedlock are the new normal, how should society handle it?

I have a relative who was married once but now has kids with a partner. They live together and raise two amazing kids. They are married in all but name. They are both professional, well educated. Maybe this is the future?
