Because that's not what the ad is. It's complete propaganda on multiple levels. They even created their own made-up, ridiculous, supposedly 50's style sitcom.
You're the one who's clearly brainwashed and virtue signaling like there's no tomorrow, fairy princess. And I'm still waiting for the equivalent "Is this the best women can get?" commercial. I could easily create without being as one-sided or filled with propaganda as the Gillette ad. So where is it?
WTF are you talking about. The ad was an extension of their old slogan. Seriously, were you dropped on your head? Because it would explain a lot.
You have waaaay too much time on your hands. It's a matter of demanding (for lack of a better word) WHAT we should and shouldn't think is what a lot of people have a problem with. Few people want to see politics in a stupid ad or in sports or in anything else.
Sorry, who's the one boycotting here? The ad is placing demands on you? Really? Are you channeling your inner victim?
I think they're blaming the woke crap but it's actually that their products are crappy and overpriced compared to competition. It's a nice cover.
Not me. Like I said, I could care less. I don't mind the product. But the ads are annoying. No, I'm referring to the bigger picture. There's no debate with the left. It's only demands. It's all the crazy liberal garbage that gets jammed down everyone's throat day in and day out. No one cares.
Which is why the CEO's actions and comments are so perplexing to me. Shaving isn't specific to a demographic. Nike's customers lean heavy to a couple demographics. Gillette is a stellar consumer products brand with a legacy that dates back to 1900 - why would you gamble with that using a risky social activism advertising campaign? Sheer stupidity. All downside and very little upside So of course - you take a $5.64B loss and the knives are out. That's how Boards form Executive Search Committees and your career gets decimated. SMH...
