Giant VIX options block-trades

    I'd love to trade the VIX but it's so expensive to hold even for just a month...

    At the risk of redundancy, this was an institutional hedge for a large portfolio. Not to mention an assumption that the VIX moves up from here by July is not exactly a "YOLO". $40 million to protect a bullish portfolio to this investor is like one of us laying down $400 for the July VIX to protect longs
