Having read more of the disastrous "Is Day Trading Worth It" Thread than anyone should allow oneself to do, I came over to this thread to see what, exactly, all the hubbub was about. I haven't read the entire thread. I simply picked a spot about week or two ago and started reading. I did find it helpful to go back to the beginning to read the first few posts, as well as a few other tidbits referenced here and there. As I was reading along, I was jarred out of my concentration on the method by the post to which the above quote was a response. First, DBP, what a great response. Second, and more to the point, I was jarred from my concentration because given what I had read, the chart examples I had seen, the explanations provided, I thought "What does it matter whether this one or that one or anyone actually took a trade based on this analysis? Does the accuracy and prescience of the analysis not stand on its own merits, whether the analysis caused someone to place a trade or not?" I just felt compelled to say so. I mean, you either see it or you don't, I guess. But one has to wonder if the critic had even bothered to open his eyes upon arrival, much less turn on the lights.
If you made it deep into that thread I imagine you have the fortitude to make it as a trader. Welcome. If you haven't looked at the pdf- it is all you need.
Thank you. No, there isn't anything particularly complicated about it. If you can draw a straight line . . . You should look at the pdf. It's a lot less painful than dragging yourself through all these posts.
âThere is a principle which is a bar against all information, which is proof against all argument, and which cannot fail to keep a man in everlasting ignorance. This principle is, contempt prior to investigation."
Curious who said this? Here is one for the gurus "This is the true joy in life, the being used for a purpose recognized by yourself as a might one; the being thoroughly worn out before you are thrown on the scrap heap; the being a force of Nature instead of a feverish, selfish little clod of ailments and grievances complaining that the world will not devote itself to making you happy." -- G.B. Shaw
It originated with Wm Paley, tho not in that exact form. It was later modified into the current form by Wm Poole.
Very nice! He's one of my favorite fellow vegetarians: "A man of my spiritual intensity does not eat corpses."
