Getting to be time to declare temporary martial law along the border

  1. Which would supersede and suspend civilian immigration laws while civil unrest prevails.

Probably need to send troops across the border to intercept since the Mexican president today is not the one from yesterday. When the facts on the ground change, my view changes. Mexico had two solid days of doing the right thing. Then they got that out of their system and have returned to facilitating the invasion.

All remittances from the U.S. to Mexico are to be subject to a hefty fee to fund a wall.

Where am I going wrong here?

  2. Open Border Democrats! Yep, nothing says wanting to be a citizen of the USA like marching in illegally while carrying foreign flags.

  3. It's an invasion. When the enemy intruders breach our border this is what they should be met with.

  4. Wallet

    Wallet

The World would shit the proverbial cow if we met a caravan of immigrants with deadly force. But most definitely we could seal the border, stop and reverse and immediately return to the south side of the border any attempted entry. And by seal the border, means no entry on foot or auto, no ground travel until Mexico takes significant steps to stop this unlawful migration.

Bring home enough troops, station them along the border and seal it until either the Wall is built, up to date immigration legislation is passed or both.

The Cartels and Dems should love that. Probably some military families would like it too.

  5. Trump should go on TV this week and announce that he is imposing a temporary state of martial law on the border to combat both this attempted invasion and mexico's utter failure to control its side of the border. Show videos of them tearing down the Mexican border fence and streaming in. Tell voters the choice is simple and stark. Anarchy or a nation of laws that controls its borders.

Put the squeeze on mexico and the countries these people came from. Shut down all asylum applications on grounds of rampant fraud and illegality. If mexico continues its lack of cooperation, shut the border totally to all travelers.

This will turn the midterm elections into a referendum on open borders versus maintaining our country as an actual country. If we can't win that, we don't have a country anyway. Why should we continue to be taxed heavily to fund a giant military? Or a welfare state for illegal invaders?

  6. You are absolutely correct, the world would have a cow if deadly force was used, but then can we have an honest conversation about just what the military can do.
First we must address what the military is trained to do. They are trained to blow things up and kill people. We have seen time and again that sending in military troops to be used a police ends in abject failure of the intended mission, and worse, costs the lives of military personal.
What are thetroops supposed to do when this horde of invaders, thousands strong, bum rush the border? We all know that is what they will do. What will be the rules of engagement? This human stampede will result in several, perhaps hundreds of deaths being suffered by all. And what will the left do? Blame America, of course.
We must make a decision, right here, right now. Defend the border using any means necessary, or just stand back and let'em all in and deal with the ensuing problems as they come up. Frankly I don't give a shit what they decide, just make a f'n decision. Lock down the border, or open it up.
And back to the honesty of it all. Lets just cut through the bullshit. People gonna' die either way, open or closed border. It's either illegal invaders dropping at the border, or American citizens being killed by thousands of hardened criminals that cross while mixed in with people just looking for a safer place to live. We accept the dead at the border, or we accept the crime and deaths that result from allowing free entry to all.
And we haven't even addressed what this does to our electoral process. This has been let go for too long by both parties just kicking the can down the road. God help the man who has the balls to make a f'n decision.

  9. Thoughtful article outlining four steps Trump could take. https://www.breitbart.com/radio/201...-ways-trump-can-solve-migrant-caravan-crisis/

It is troubling that Homeland Security Sec. Nielson keeps talking about the need for congressional action before anything can be done. Congress is not going to do anything. That should be abundantly clear by now. If they did do something, it would probably make matters worse by legalizing DACA , etc.

Trump needs to seize the initiative here and change the narrative from the government being harsh and uncaring to desperate migrants to we are being invaded by people who are making a mockery of our laws and our sovereignty. One thing that would help is after putting the military on the border, they can block asshole reporters from getting in there and trying to inflame the public.

Trump's presidency is on the line here. If he rolls out the red carpet for these invaders, the media will still slander him on a daily basis, so looking for their approval is a foolish position. He came into office on the back of a lot of tough talk. Time to deliver.
