  6. Licenses are often a thorny issue. If its not GPL'd then you get into a whole range of issues that essentially bind you to that company as a psuedo-partner.

    The ideal solution is to control the source code and the product directly if you have the means and resources to do so .....

  8. Hi riskaverse,

    I started programming last year for the purpose of trading. Please do yourself a favor, and do an ET search on python. I promise you won't be disappointed.

    From what I've researched and practiced, there simply is no easier language to learn that will allow you to utilize the robustness of computation, that the science community, among the many other communities, prefer.
