This here liberal thinker, (the only other option is regressive thinker), disagrees. I personally think work is honorable and it's damn snobbish to look down your nose because they have a job you don't think is good enough. When I say you, it's not you personally. And from my experiences I like the middle class working stiff the best. This is a huge swath of people, from accountant, teacher to small business man, but they are the best to deal with, they won't screw you over, don't think they are better than someone else and when a friend makes it big they are happy for them. Some of the rich have snob issues and some of the poor have jealousy issues. Of course this is from my view point which is limited.
Tsk...tsk...tsk... Your spinning, weaving, whobbling (whoa...holding Merkie up from falling) like a top, Merkie. Don't try to do an essay here. Page 12 BSAM says: "The best people found on earth are poor people." Like I said, we got different value systems.
Some good points, Big. No one should ever look down on a poor person. One never knows when that poor person might appear as your boss or on the big stage, screen, etc. Elvis was poor.
You did not answer any of the question that pertain to quality of life. You are the one weaving. You are also being politically correct. You started this wedge by measuring the quality of a person and associating it with poorness. There are fine poor people, but I would not want to live in a neighborhood of poor people and until you can say you would live on the south side of Chicago, we share the same values. The poor people have these same values, if they could they would move away from the other poor people. In fact 200,000 of them left Chicago in the last 10 years.
Please answer the question. In both situations one has the power to convict someone and take them off the street or set them free if they are truly innocent. In one situation I'm guessing you would perform that duty. In the other, well, you would just refuse. It's called hypocrisy. It means there is a conflict within your system of beliefs. You'll need to work that out.
You watch too many movies The chart you showed show entry level salaries. I haven't made 30000 since the 90's, I haven't touched a bedpan in at least 15 years. You blue collar guys made me laugh So yeah, based on that chart I would be off of it. Have been for quite some time.
A witness is so completely different than a juror that it is laughable. It like comparing a court clerk to a judge. Really?
Answer the f*cking question. In both situations you have exactly the same power. Are you not bright enough to see this nurse? Here is the irony, you could be called in for jury duty for this exact same trial. To hear the case and possibly convict this person if they are truly guilty. The f*cking hilarious thing about it is, it's illegal to avoid the jury duty but yet legal for you to not testify in court against the rapist. How do you like them apples nurse!
Hey RC, is the ground the same as the sky? If you say no, there must be a conflict in your belief system.
