Getting out of jury duty for not being "of sound mind and good moral character" ?

  1. Please enlighten us "in the minority" by explaining why this is an offensive comparison. Here's the quote again:

How goddam hard is to just do your f*cking duty as an American? We have men and women serving this country over seas getting their limbs blown off and yet dipshits on here can't take a day out of their life to serve their country in an air conditioned court house.

Btw, one of the big perks in not registering to vote is that you don't get called for JD too... and one of the big perks to not fighting in a foreign war is that you don't get your limbs blown off.. just a little word to the wise... why do people want to get their limbs blown off and then come back to the US and suck up public health monies for the rest of their lives? Stay out of that shit and save the public health monies for when you are old and really could use it, jeez, it all seems so obvious to me...

AK made a good point, he says his income is seasonal, why could we not tell the court system what the best season is for us to serve JD? You can't tell me that back in the day when everybody was farming that they had some bullshit trial when it was harvest time! You know that they did not do that for sure, they would have hung the damned judge that pulled that shit..

  4. I know people where I live who were let out of jury duty for financial reasons. I've been out of state working and told them I wouldn't be able to show up and they let me out. And I've been out of town working and didn't get my mail and didn't show up and nothing happened.

Actually I don't watch many movies, most of them now a days seem designed to entertain sheeple.
I think I'm considered a white collar worker.
I was being facetious about the bed pans.

  9. Drop the phony bravado. AGAIN, this was the comparison. Explain why it's offensive. You can't because it's not and you have nothing.
