Getting fills for odd lot orders

I know that the best way to trade is in multiples of 100. How are the fills likely to be if you trade for example 25 shares

They get filled the same... you are talking about market orders? If you can help it, never place a market order unless you think it's moving that fast (in which case, you'd better know what you're doing too... especially during an IPO).

 

it depends on the stock
on very liquid stocks, limit orders get filled fine with odd # of shares
