i did not need those, just look up on their website. They were the only one who was offering KOSPI futures back in a day when I was trading them. As soon as CFTC issued no action letter, IB allowed US customers to trade them.

I have been having one issue after another for the past year. I am looking at other platforms and brokerages at this point. I was with Advantage previously using TT, but I cut my volume down quite a bit and it wasn't worth the cost so I moved to IB. The issues seem to be increasing and I am lacking patience to fart around waiting for a fix.

stay with IB and just get NinjaTrader. It is a great platform and cheap.

The problem isn't the platform but the data...Do you have IB's data piped into Ninja or do you pay an additional price for 3rd party data as well?

  9. If you're concerned about losing access for a few mins because of the reset you might try switching to their Asian server in TWS around that time. I think that they do the Asia server's reset at a different time as otherwise in would occur during the last hour of cash equity trading in Tokyo.

  10. I've been having none of these problems either with data lags or with the performance of the oft-maligned TWS, which I think is a great platform once you learn how to configure it.

I have reason to suspect that the issues most of you guys are experiencing are with your Internet service provider as some ISPs may treat that kind of data traffic differently. In my experience the delivery technology may also be a factor. I am currently on a 200-Mbs FTTC + VDSL line and I haven't experienced any issues even at the busiest times this week, arguably one of the craziest trading weeks in several months. Also you might want to try using a VPN as it might help in some cases.
