  1. lol, how many soldiers did IED killed in just iraq so far. 2500. How many permantyly injured for life 14000. And this is just a low level skirmish. Soldiers that costs hundreads of thousand to train are killed. And rebels, that only cost 100 doller a pop. And you have americans will dropping recruitment, and the rebels with increasing recruitment. Your a investor. Tell me which makes more sense in fighting. As we all know. It isnt the war that matter, its the peace. :D

  2. tl trader how many americans were killed in iraq 2500. How many injured for life. 14000. It costs hundreads of thousand to train a infantryman. It costs 100 dollers for rebel. Recruitment is falling off a cliff in the us military while the rebels are increasing at a fantastic rate. It costs 100's of billion to maintain iraq, and probably less then 50 million for the rebels.

As a trader, you tell me, which position is unteniable. And then you add in syria/iran/ war. There is no choice but for a draft or to abandon the middle east and isreal. As we all know abandoning isreali is not an option. So there you go.

Big difference. Iraq has been a feeble attempt at nation building. War with Iran and/or Syria will be a successful exercise in nation leveling.

And, FYI, military recruitment numbers are running higher than quotas.

Leveling is better than building. The people in the US with the highest job satisfaction figures are building demolition guys. If you are leveling 1) you know it won't take long 2) you can tell when the job is done 3) you can go drink beer.

  9. No choice but a draft?

Mahram, don't you think this scenario has been planned out WAY in advance? A draft would take 6 months just to train and mobilize the troops. You'd already see it happening.

Maybe you should respond to the posts that state we'd do it mostly by air anyway. We'd have air supremacy within a few days (first Tomahawks and stealth bombers would kill 90% + of their anti aircraft capability), then the US would bomb at will. No use to send in ANY troops if we only wished to protect Israel. If the decision was to OCCUPY, then troops would be needed. That decision is discretionary however.

No choice but to have a draft. What a silly statement. You obviously have no clue how ridiculously powerful the US is. There is a BIG difference between winning a war, and occupying a country afterwards. The latter is damn near impossible unless the occupying force is brutal as hell (ie Soviets in E Europe), and the people just accept it. The US would NOT be forced to do this simply to keep Iran/Syria out of Israel.

Once again so you get it. To protect Israel, The US would not have to send in even a single ground troop. Hell just a squadron of A-10's could take out every one of their tanks.

Also, Sryia has already has their ass kicked by Israel. I don't think they'd be too anxious to do it again.

  10. We have a ridiculous prison population in the states, many of whom are in due to mandatory sentencing laws. A fertile field ripe for the picking.

Do your tour, and your crime is expunged.

Harder criminals just get trained as special forces. :D
