That is because men, especially if they have been successful, have more to lose. Now, if you are smart you work her like a Babylonian slave and she will be to worn out to plot your demise.

Nitro, traders are a cynical bunch. You know that. Why not approach the situation as a trader. You were married once before. So what do you think makes this trade different then the last trade? Every trader has a bias once they are in a position. The people responding on this thread are not in your trade so they are giving you an objective viewpoint.

I heard that the first 1-2 years of marriage will be good, but then 3-5 years in the woman start to change. Is this true???

"Crimes and Misdemeanors", good movie. I don't agree, but while I am frank, I don't want to go into it. Talking generalities on an anonymous board is one thing, going into it deeper gets too personal.

Of course this is true, but it leaves out so much. We aren't just the sum of our experiences, but the context of our experiences. I would love to run the following experiment. I would love to see what remains invariant (if anything) about me if you put me in say, 2000 BC, 0 AD, 1100 AD, present time, and 500 years from now. Some people believe in reincarnation and that this is exactly what happens.

How would I be different if I were 6" taller? 6" shorter? Had more hair? Was obese? What if I were a black man, or what if I were born in Ethiopia and was striving to survive against hunger? What remains invariant in all these people? Love. Does it make it better for all of you if I quote it instead? Here. "Love".

Spoken like a man ready to fall in love again!

Then I hope it is Bears vs Steelers. Black and blue bruising football.

  8. As they they stand at the altar, the woman is hoping the man will change, and the man is hoping the woman won't.

  10. My problem is the opposite - I don't want to get attached, but they do.

Also Nitro, have you thought that maybe love relationships are not fully explicable by reason and logic? There is a reason that Casanova was not an engineer.
