I agree, but I wish you had gotten something far deeper. That she has the sensitivity to be genuinely impressed and touched by the man in front of her saying these things to her, and that she is bold and vulnerable and rewards him for it. That was a good movie. It's one of the few romcoms where I actually liked the ending. Even though the story was a fantasy, if you remove the fantasy part, he still could have pulled it off with the ending. That was actually pretty clever.
In the movie, he only comes to this conclusion after years of living a completely empty life. That is the meaning of life, in fact. You learn all the shit you should have done differently and then see other people make the same mistakes!
Of course there is little reason and logic, although restraint even in passionate love is warranted. Perhaps this is one of the messages in Romeo and Juliet, slow down, relax, take a deep breath... I find it interesting that in the greatest love story ever told, Juliet is an extraordinarily reasonable person, astonishing for such a young age. I wonder why Shakespeare characterized her this way? This is no ordinary man mind you...
