Can you read? Three quarters of british people want less immigration and to achieve this while still pleasing the eu the government has decided to “significantly reduce” the number of skilled working immigrants from outside of the eu, meaning low skilled eu immigrants and even those with no skills and no intention of working take priority over highly skilled workers from out side of the eu who would have created a much greater benefit for the country, if putting your self at a disadvantage to comply with eu rules is not bending over backwards then I dont know what is... In what way are you mentally challenged? No one in the uk under the age of 58 has had a vote on membership of the eu and the vote that took place was to join a economic market place not a political union, a german lecturing a brit on democracy is always a sight, hey german, you are not alone in the eu and your just going to have to accept the choices of sovereign nations on matters such as those discussed in this thread. The eu does not know the meaning of democracy, an institution that in the face of a no vote in a referendum stated: And simply made said nation vote again until the preferred answer was given and that is how the eu has to be for if it were actually a free choice it would not exist, there are naturally to many differences between states and peoples for such a level of integration by free choice of nation peoples. Accusations of hating germany are like a crutch to you, i neither hate you or germany and could not care less about the war, in a time and a place the correct action was taken to put germany in its place, this entire feud started between you and i because i once said the reason there has been no war in europe is not due to the eu, its due to the fact every right minded nation killed as many germans as possible, harsh but true. That was not aimed at the german people as a dig of sorts, the eu parades its self as the sole source of peace and unity in europe and its bullsh!t, right now its the largest source of friction and disharmony we have had in europe for decades.
a) So who is washing your dishes and waiting your tables in the UK? Apparently this kind of work is too low for your kind. b) What a weird way of interpreting democracy is this? Just because you did not have a vote but your parents means that the UK did not democratically vote to be in the EU? You or your parents voted for politicians who made clear whether they are pro or anti Europe. In that sense you or your parents had a very clear choice. c) "We must not bow to populism" this is not what I said, do not pretend those are my quotes. Your style of holding a discussion is really low. Each time you run out of arguments and facts you start to make up BS. I stated facts and sheer numbers and you start to make up lies. Whether you like or hate it the European Union was and still is and will be the largest source of glue in Continental Europe. It has assured one of the longest peace times in Europe. If you cannot accept that then I do not care but this is a widely accepted fact.
For the most part not the students and low skilled uk workers who once did, you may not understand economics but the impact of mass unskilled immigration on labour markets without protections are understood. You interpret my comment in the only way a german conman could. The vote in 1975 was democratic but again no one under the age of 58 has had their say, times change opinions change and most importantly the eu has changed, if the eu presented the ambitions it today seeks in 1975 the vote would have been no, The german attitude "well me grandad said it was fine so it must be" explains a lot with you... You are a little slow, let me repeat: The eu does not know the meaning of democracy, an institution that in the face of a no vote in a referendum stated: ..... So while you bang on about democracy while germany is at the heart of an institution that is antidemocratic to its core, forgive us for not taking you so seriously. You stated figures related to population and said "see, germany is not so different to the uk, so shut up and do as we say"
my dear Lord...wtf...so you want to hold a referendum each year (or each day) so that every single last Brit who turns 18 can vote for or against what have you? Or in what way would you like to have it Sheda?
Again you are showing how unbalanced your thinking is, if the above rambling to you is comparable to a vote on membership of an institution that has changed both in character and ambition massively in 58 years since the last vote, then so be it. Germans dont like choice when others own it.
come on, please answer: How frequent should a referendum be held? Or just now because Sheda himself wants a vote?
When there is public dissatisfaction and a democratic call of the people for one, remember that sh!t you were just banging on about? Democracy? Germans cant deal with ambiguous flow of life very well. If there was no dissatisfaction with the current state of affairs and the big shot leaders could do more than act smug and state "i am in charge here" when approached for change there would be no call for a referendum, explaining the obvious to you is getting tiring...
Germans here, Germans there, do you have a hard-on for Germans or something? I asked you, Sheda, some simple questions. So, each time there is a section in the populace that is dissatisfied you want to hold a referendum? Really? Then Scotland would have gone independent a long time ago.
You asked me a question i answered the question. Dissatisfaction leads to a referendum yes, remember its a choice to be a member and members can leave at any time? Something you are often keen to point out yet oddly you are extremely uncomfortable when someone is actually given the choice....the opinion of those close to entering retirement should decide for the current generations of british people..you say
you twist each and every word I said. Its completely useless to further talk with you. Well, I tried at least... by the way, I have not read anywhere that "one can leave anytime", nor have I ever said such in this particular context. Well, of course you can but you will be seen as a quitter and jackass. You can't just run from a marriage, job, responsibilities that were entrusted to you, and you can't have it your way each time you perceive a benefit in changing the status quo (which is precisely why Germany does not just run away, it recognizes its responsibility and plays its part in Europe, mostly writing cheques to other nations, unfortunately). Of course you can hold your damn referendum any time you like and the rest of the world respects that. But until then stop bitching about a few asylum seekers that crossed the channel. You can exit the union at the next referendum but before that your people choose to stay in and should assume their fair share of responsibilities. ...sorry but I do not see this going anywhere. Let's agree to disagree. Tsingtao can of course inject himself at this very point to have the last word as usual. Cheers.
