Not with cars. If you require quality, buy Japanese or nowadays also Korean. The only German automaker still producing quality is Audi. With other products, it depends. My current phone is Chinese made and designed, as will be the next one. Sure, you can overpay 3 times for the identical iPhone but that's utter stupidity in my opinion. Plenty of Chinese brands do quality.
Sure, I know that. I just consider "real" chinese products those which are also designed there. US still has quite strict controls over how the iPhone is assembled. If you don't want any Chinese components anywhere then you cannot buy anything. Every German car nowadays has Chinese made components, same goes for every Japanese one.
