Most Georgia residents still stayed at home after the "stay at home" order was lifted. Georgia only had a 8.5% reduction in the people staying at home after the re-opening in early May when compared to the proportion of residents who stayed home during the peak period of sheltering in place. Those who think that a large portion of the state stopped staying at home after Governor Kemp ended the stay at home order are clearly mistaken. Most people did not start shopping in malls and going around town. In fact most malls are still completely empty in Georgia except for the few stores that sold the latest hot Air Jordan sneaker. Many leaders of towns and cities in Georgia are still urging their residents to stay home; obviously most are complying. More than 120 Atlanta restaurants refuse to open despite Georgia Gov Kemp lifting stay-at-home orders Chefs and restaurateurs have signed onto the #GAHospitalityTogether initiative, saying they will not reopen dining rooms until it’s safe. https://thehill.com/changing-americ...e-than-120-atlanta-restaurants-refuse-to-open If you do go out in Georgia - where are you going to eat. Many restaurants are remaining closed.
Yes, because with 1% of the eateries closed, there aren't any alternatives. Can you please stop posting this nonsense and making yourself look ridiculous? I know for a fact you are a lot smarter than this.
NYT analyzed cellphone data from the location analysis company Cuebiq covering 15 million people nationwide between Feb. 1 and May 8. Huh. 15 million people across the country. 10 million in Georgia alone. Wonder what the methodology was in determining whether someone "stayed home" or whether they went out for something like, to go to dinner. Or the gym. Or to have coffee. Hard to say because it isn't shared. But it's likely horseshit. The only thing it can be counted on is an apples to apples comparison from pre-covid to now. How many people in Georgia are in that list? How many of those lost their jobs? Because if they lost their jobs, they'd sure be spending a lot more time at home, eh? What a load of crap.
I saw stories of Restaurant owners saying they can't make money at 50 percent capacity so they have to stay closed or just do take out. I read it weeks ago.
Go to Atlanta... .go take a walk around. Tell me the total number of restaurants that you see open for eat-in dining.
