Georgia's reopening is a high-stakes public health bet -- and will likely please Trump

As clearly noted on the website, the figures are not final until 14 days after they are posted. They are revised and increased every day. The Georgia DPH had to place the following warning on the website to avoid legal action after the media called them out for fake data shenanigans .

"14-day window – Confirmed cases over the last 14 days may not be accounted for due to illnesses yet to be reported or test results may still be pending".

I took down the number from today as of 5pm EDT . 14 days from now we are going to take a look at the numbers and see the increases. All the Georgia DPH postings with deliberately delayed data are a scam to drive Governor Kemp's political agenda to "re-open" by creating a false impression that the trend is down.

Here are the numbers from today:

    Deaths:
    May 26 - 0
    May 25 - 0
    May 24 - 2
    May 23 - 2
    May 22 - 3
    May 21 - 9
    May 20 - 13
    May 19 - 13
    May 18 - 22
    May 17 - 12
    May 16 - 18
    May 15 - 18
    May 14 - 25
    May 13 - 22
    May 12 - 24

    Cases
    May 26 - 17
    May 25 - 27
    May 24 - 110
    May 23 - 139
    May 22 - 392
    May 21 - 450
    May 20 - 571
    May 19 - 731
    May 18 - 965
    May 17 - 328
    May 16 - 433
    May 15 - 817
    May 14 - 771
    May 13 - 752
    May 12 - 669

Here are the charts from today:

We don't have to wait 14 days... Lets go back over 30 days to around April 21st. Compare the Deaths back then to now or 14 days ago.

Its when you fear and doomed this thread into existence...

its a great read... doom and fear and irresponsible and fauci and wagering lives....

I particularly like the quotes you had from Abrams, the other democrat.... and GWB'S dvisor... (the real GWB)

You and your team were just so full of shit... Just destroying lives instead of seeking a balanced approach.

It is amazing that you still don’t understand the sham of adding increased cases 14 days later while deliberately underreporting current data to make the recent trend look always like its declining. Glad you enjoy illusions rather than reality.

We will come back in 14 days and see what these values have been adjusted to — as well as if the updated data for date range shows any type of decline.

Yes, we will review the data in 13 days. At that time the period of May 12 to May 26 will show a flat slope with no decline if it mirrors the shell game that Governor Kemp's administration has been playing with previous time periods.

This political ploy to deliberately delay COVID-19 data reporting to artificially create a decline in recent weeks in order to support "re-opening" is so transparent that it should be obvious to every reasonable person.

If reopening the states shows even a flat trajectory, and the doomer narrative doesn't come to pass, then as far as I'm concerned we had no reason to lock down the world in the first place since there was no benefit.

There is expected to be a 14 day downward trend in new cases and hospitalizations for a state to re-open or move to the next stage. It actually is in the guidelines published by the states (including Georgia). Flat does not get a state moving forward in re-opening.

Doesn't matter. Reopening is done. As long as the virus doesn't consume the state like the doomer narrative goes, then it is a victory.

Can't have people like yourself running about saying "don't reopen or deaths will be on your hands!" and then have there be no difference between being locked down and open.

States are following the best public health policy for their re-openings and should continue to do so. This is not "doomer narrative" it is about following the best scientific policy to successfully re-open a state and economy.

I support states following a phased re-opening using the best public health policies to guide their plans -- this is not a "don't reopen or deaths will be on your hands!" approach - I fully support re-opening and applaud the efforts in my state to re-open is a phased manner.

I am in Georgia and things are good. People are up and about and enjoying life. God Bless Governor Brain Kemp for opening things up and the people of Georgia for have the courage to overcome the hysterics of the media.

We have decided to start to live again.

You can share in what life has to offer or you can spend your time in the basement wondering if it is safe.

"Mom is it safe to come out of the basement?" "Not yet Joe."
