Wholeheartedly agree! However, the decision to go after the employee should be made by the employer. It shouldn't be an angry mob that chases down someone's real address and the like because of a comment. In the case of white supremacy, that's easy. But what if it was a person standing up for a decision Trump made? A bunch of folks who hate Trump then find this person's view despicable and pressure the company he works for, or threaten the family, etc. It's not always an easy thing like white supremacy. Also, the other side of the coin doesn't see a whole lot of action. Show me one African American who was fired for saying "kill whitey!"

The Constitution already drew the line. Hate speech with violent intention is not allowed. Everything else goes. Our country (the US) was founded on it.

  2. The proliferation of guns will achieve that end irrespective of what they publicly state. And they don't give a shit. Because their objective is the proliferation of guns, consequences be damned.

Precisely. The NRA is merely a focal point of the rage against guns because it supports the 2nd amendment, and is easily targeted as one entity. If there were no NRA and all we had was several dozen million Americans, the left could target only an idea, not an institution.

Not so. The NRA is for legal possession of firearms. While I disagree with some of their arguments, that is the primary charter of the organization.

  5. I agree.
The problem is the finessing of the message and the threading of the needle just so, so that what effectively is hate speech by any reasonable measure for all intents and purposes, gets a pass by the deliberately obtuse.

Huh? --Having guns whether it's 1 or 300 million does not mean they will be used on the offensive by law abiding folks. The left would love to disarm America as all fascist regimes do. (The Left = Fascists)

  7. As a result of their irrepressible zeal, observe the splendor that their objective has achieved over time.

Again, some person (or government body made up of persons) has to be the judge of this. The problem there is that the decision can take the slant of the individual(s) in charge. Thus, only an absolute can be decided on. The Founding Fathers knew this, and were quite brilliant about it.

You are single handedly laying all violence solely at the feet of the NRA and that is so disingenuous as to almost completely disqualify the statement.
