I think you forgot to add your usual anti-cancel-culture commentary.
... or is it different this time?

Just providing some news.... which outlines the absurdity of demanding the cancellation of a company while a person continually swills its products -- reportedly even after Trump demanded Coke's "cancellation".

Sports fans have already decided that they do not care for politics in sports. Fully, 33% of sports fans disapprove of injecting politics in sports and that is why ratings are way down for the NBA, NFL and MLB. I do not bother with sports anymore except, horse racing. Horses do not kneel and disrespect the US flag and anthem and give everything they have. At some point, if it has not happened already, overpaid primadonna jocks will find, their paychecks just got that much smaller. Nobody would care if these primadonna jocks all got canned and ended up without a job.

The new contracts also mean the NFL will nearly double its media revenue to more than $10 billion a season. The league took in $5.9 billion a year in its current contracts.

The total of $113 billion is an increase of 80% over the previous such period, a person with direct knowledge of the contracts told The Associated Press.

So the NFL landed a contract with Amazon which provides more revenue. Seeing that most people don't watch sports on Amazon prime this change will likely decrease NFL viewership rather than increase it.

Actually its with all the networks.Amazon just got Thursday night. And its not just more revenue, its nearly double.

ABC gets back in the Super Bowl rotation with two games over the 11 seasons. ESPN gets some flexibility in its schedule on Monday nights, with the NFL agreeing to potentially move as many as five games from Sunday, and will have three doubleheaders, up from one.

The contract also expands digital rights for the other networks as well. ESPN+ will air one of the London games and NBC’s “Peacock” platform will also have one exclusive game per season for six years beginning in 2023.

Games will continue to air on CBS, Fox, NBC as well as ESPN/ABC. ESPN’s deal was scheduled to end after 2021, while the others expired a year later, but ESPN will have a bridge deal for 2022.

Does Amazon prime offer a lot of live sports, especially exclusively? When the new deal starts Amazon will be the only legal source for Thursday Night Football.Obviously they thought it was worth it.
