There is no organization called The cancel mob.

Individuals may or may not exercise their right to speak, or not, depending on their desires.

As I don't know what's in the head of every citizen, I can't say why those who are silent, are silent.

That's how it works in America.

For public corporations -- it is really should be up to the owners who are the shareholders. A corporation should be require to get shareholder approval before engaging in political activity not directly aligned with their business operations. If the shareholder's approve then they can go ahead.

  3. Revenues is KING and all that matters.

NFL games used to be on 2 networks. Like CBS for NFC and NBC for AFC. Now games are on FOX, ABC, ESPN, NFL Network, CBS. There is Sunday football, Sunday night football, Monday Night Football, Thursday Night Football. All the netowkrs forked over billions for a piece of the pie and dilluted their own viewership... while the NFL collects the checks.

.... it is like putting 5 Starbucks within 3 city blocks and claiming foot traffic at a store is down without looking at overall revenues.

Did revenues drop in 2020. Yup... like many sports during COVID because they lost ticket sales, TV viewership, sponsors etc...

Viewership on TV is the fault of TV stations diluting the offerings, but again, if 6 networks pay to broadcast games, viewership at each will drop but overall NFL gets all those checks.

Doxxing isn't a crime if the information is gathered by legal means ( publicly available)

You are being ridiculous to think you know better than the broadcasters who just signed a 100 billion dollar +deal with The NFL

Not only is The NFL not losing many viewers dispute streaming services getting hundreds of millions of subscribers the last few years and those streaming services are making a ton of new TV shows and movies The NFL ratings are at a premium because it is live and most viewers dont DVR it and watch it later skipping the commercials.

The shareholders are aware of their power. Obviously, they haven't done that ... except in the My Pillow case IIRC. American freedom in action!

My previous options I listed as being available to you still apply.

I guess the final option is for you to waste exercise your free speech and just rant about it all day, everyday.

  9. As I said, businesses should cut their CEOs off from social media like what happended to My Pillow, Crossfit, PapaJohns, Chik Fil A etc..

However for an entire company to take a stand on a national issue like voting rights or civil rights and pull out of something is not exactly the same thing. If Coke wants to pull a sponsorship of something in Atlanta or MLB it is not a CEO making a comment but the entire organization taking a stand.

Now it might not be part of their business model but all of these are consumer serving companies and in today's world, NOT taking a stand for something your customers mostly support can be as hurtful to the bottom line.

It is a tough line to measure at times for sure, but it will be more common for a company to take a position on an issue in a state. The problem is the GOP thinks they have any clout really but since most issues come from cities where they have little power, a state's legislature foolishness (GA law is a direct response to being a sore loser) can hurt cities where GOP has no clout.

GOP boycotts are usually all noise and no action unfortunately because they spent so many years since the 1950s and 1960s directing boycotts/outrage/objections at minorities, things related to minorities, or non-Christian causes which never get national support and it never worked out well for them.

Actually doxing with the intent to threaten or urging others to threaten an individual or their family is illegal.
