I prefer the Fox coverage as well. Actually I prefer the camera work on NBC and the announcers from Fox. Maybe it's just me, but I have trouble hearing the NBC announcers. They get drowned out by the race noise. It's nice to hear the cars, but it's very annoying to have announcers babbling and not be able to understand them. As for Fox, their camera director seems addicted to head on shots, with cars coming at you. Impressive once or twice, but it becomes frustrating as you can't tell what is going on in the race.
I miss the coverage by ESPN. Give me Dr. Jerry Punch back in the pits! Seriously though, I find both network broadcasts annoying. How many times does Benny Parsons have to explain the NASCAR definition of 'Loose' every week? Sometimes I shut off the TV sound and turn on the radio to MRN. February 18, 2006 marks the fifth anniversary of the passing of a NASCAR Legend. Both revered and despised, Dale Earnhardt continues to have an influence on the sport he loved even today. R. I. P. #3 - Spydertrader <img src=http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/attachment.php?s=&postid=986099>
Tony Stewart passed Dale Earnhardt Jr. with 13 laps to go, held off a three-wide pack and came out ahead of a final-lap melee to win the Hershey's Kissables 300 at Daytona on Saturday. - Spydertrader
i tell ya, every time tony stewart gets to the point where i can almost stomach him, he does some bone head idiot thing bad for the sport. all this whining about agressive driving, what's up with that? agressive driving is what nascar has always been about. no bump drafting? pleeeeeeeze! give me a break, it's what daytona and taladega are all about. there's a group of very well sponsored drivers that always complain about having to race in a pack in these races. in these races their big money can't give them quite the edge they get on other tracks and they actually have to drive against the pleebes. what a bunch of crybabies!! i really hope ol' TS gets penalized by his own rule. nascar just ain't what it used to be and it's getting more colorless every year.
