Gentlemen, Start Your Engines!!

  1. Nothing like racing under the lights on a Saturday night.

    For fun here's a poll...

If you were offered the opportunity to spend a weekend with one of any of the (past or present) Nascar drivers, who would it be and why....

    1) Of all, who would be your first pick? Is he your favorite driver?

    2) Of all, who would be the most interesting?

    3) Of all, who would be the most fun to hang with?

  2. 1) Tony Stewart. 'cause he's got a helicopter to tool around in. Favorite driver.

    2) Ryan Newman. I like engineering; Ward Burton. I'd like to hear about him living off the land for a year.

    3) Dale Jr and Elliot Sadler. How could you not have fun with budwiser and m&ms :D

  3. Aaaaah yes. Saturday Night Racing! It ain't Bristol, but plenty of slip sliding to go on tonight along with a little beatin' and bangin' in the turns.

    Sounds Fun.

I'll exclude Danica Patrick for now as she races in a different series.

    Jeff Gordon - favorite driver.

Smokey Yunick or Junior Johnson. Both long since retired. Each hold claim to the title of NASCAR's most fabled “innovator.” I'd pay my weight in gold for an opportunity to sit and listen to their stories about the times they didn't get caught cheating.

Darrell Waltrip. While the "Booggity, Booggity, Booggity" schtick might be wearing a bit thin, the guy simply knows how to have a good time.

  4. Oh yeah. Ya gotta love that girl's.......
    .......tenacity. Ok, body. :D
    Thoughts addendum:
    1) Obviously The Intimidator (Dale Ernhardt).
    2) Rusty Wallace or Ricky Rudd would be interesting to hang with;
The old timers who were involved with the roots of nascar and it's bootlegging in the old south affiliations as Spyder mentioned.
    3) Darrel Waltrip and Mikey are a trip. Definitely fun guys. I think Darrel's ego could wear on you after awhile though. :D

  5. I concur. I appreciate Danica's .... tenacity .... as well. :D

Gordo having a tough night of it - almost found himself caught up in Kyle Busch and Casey Mears spin and wreck. Hopefully, the team can find the handle on the car before the end of the race. Nice to see Bobby Labonte running in the Top Five. Pasta Boy looked like he gained a bit of weight. According to Kevin Harvick, "Pound for pound, Tony Stewart is the best driver." :D

  6. Had me :p on that one.

I, myself, am very pleased with gordo's season. No offense spyder. Now if only jimmy jack-off could follow suit, and R.Gordan could get a little break with some good luck... I'd feel much better.

  8. No offense taken. I have heard all the jabs before.

Nice win by Kevin Harvick. Gordon managed to pull out a top ten when a few cars ran out of gas. :D

  10. 1. Dale Sr... not Jr!

    2. Listening to Ward's accent!

    3. DW... as long as he doesn't get to the point of annoying!
