  1. Im with AAA. Carl "Rap - loving - momma's - boy" Edwards is a stain. He threatened to punch his teammate last year (Kenseth). He also ran into Junior after a race while his hand was out of the window.

  2. I thought that title belonged to Jeff gordon???? I love the 24 but come on...even his own team mate (JJ) recently called him a SPOILED BRAT!!!! If the 24 gets hit he whines and cries...he went back after Kenseth once...but after crying about Tony bumping him he didn;t have the balls to retaliate...even though I was in the Tent at homestead and he made mention of it durring an appearance

  3. No chit.

AAA must think he's watching IRL....

  4. Sorry, AAA, but it seems that you're in the minority here. Bristol equals bump 'n run, plain and simple. No one wants it to be their driver, but that's the nature of tracks like this one.

  5. I draw a distinction between using the bumper on someone who is blocking you and just running into someone who has been faster than you the entire race. If you make a legitimate effort to get by someone and they are holding you up, particularly if they are lapped traffic, then you are entitled to nudge them. Kyle wasn't holding Edwards up. Edwards couldn't stay in touch with him after a few laps. It did appear he got better after the last pit stop, but Kyle may have had to use up some of his car to get back by his teammate.

Edwards knew he was out of line. His whole post race interview was this weird attempt at self-justification, then when the reporter asked him if his car was better after the last stop, he blurted out we won because I ran into the guy.

  6. you keep talking about his 'weird post race interview"....am i missing something?????

  7. Count me among those missing it as well. I watched the Post Race Interview (the one where Edwards sat at a table holding a microphone) late last night on NASCAR Now. Edwards flat out said, "To avoid any confusion, I am not apologizing here. I have nothing to apologize for."

Edwards also expects Kyle to wreck him in the next race. :)

I wasn't happy when Kenseth spun Gordo in the last lap at Bristol few years back, but I was thrilled when The Dupont Chevy accidently 'got loose' and booted Matt a few weeks later. :D Surely, we all could tell how sincere Gordo was during his interview, right? After all he even said, 'I hate it for those guys." :D :D

Yet, on Saturday, Jeffy was a bit miffed at Smoke's 'perceived slight' as The #20 nudged the 4 time champion to the side.

Depending on which end of the bump your driver sits - the nudger or the nudgee, determines how one feels about the action overall. At least, that's how it works for me. More importantly, it appears that's how it works for the drivers as well.

These guys have two basic free weeks coming up (California and Richmond) since both (Kyle and Carl) find themselves locked into the chase. Watch for some fireworks at Richmond.

  8. I was referring to the chat with the TV guy in victory lane right after he climbed out of the car. He started justifying his dirty driving right off the top by going back to some Nationwide race where he claimed Kyle treated him roughly.

Whatever. The fact is NASCAR has become so boring that a small incident like this assumes far greater significance than it deserves. A pass for the lead just does not happen with the COT. Add the tire fiascos and you have one of the worst seasons in memory.

The main takeaway from Bristol is that Edwards wants to have it both ways. Pretend to be Mr. Clean but get away with dirty driving when it suits him.

  9. AAA

Maybe you should start following the motarcycle circuit...nobody bumps in that one...Geeeessshh....

  10. AAA,

Sounds like sour grapes to me. If Carl gets it back, fine. That's the way it goes. You don't like Carl, blah, blah, blah. There are far more interesting Silly Season things going on than this.
