  1. Exactly. Im so sick of Jr nation. They're such a turn off for the sport. It's kind of ironic that Jr nation wants SO BAD for Jr to live in his fathers shoes that the driver they hate the most is the only one who compares.

  2. Wow. There people out there that don't think that Jr. is the second coming! I'm not alone!

  3. No, you're not alone. I get tired of his fans throwing cans all over the track everytime a driver comes along w/ more talent than Jr and his dad... (Gordon, Busch, etc.)
Nice pile up as I type. Tony says it was his fault for being within a halp lap of Sadler! LOL!

  4. In the long run, Jr. will be looked upon as a good driver, not a great one. Great drivers win championships in Cup. It's been 75 races since he's even won. That's just the truth. I'll take what anyone has to dish out - he's just not the best driver out there right now.

  6. Very impressive, but let's not lose sight of the fact that everyone who has steered the 20 Nationwide car has put it in front. Of course, some pretty good wheelmen have been in it.

Suddenly, losing Tony Stewart doesn't seem like such a disaster for JGR. He must feel like odd man out there now, number three in the points and the old man of the team to boot. Personally, I don't think Joey L is quite ready for Cup. I think a full year in Nationwide would be really good for him. I see him as a very fast, smooth driver who can get the most out of a car, but he still needs to learn how to pass guys who are just as fast or block guys who are a bit faster. I haven't seen that yet in him. Up until now, he's been the best driver in the best equipment. At the Cup level, he won't have that advantage.

I heard one of the IRL guys who is trying Cup talking about it, and he made the point that it was a learning experience for him to see how hard the top guys pushed the edge. Think Kyle Busch sideways at Talledaga. Not every driver is prepared to do that.

  7. It didn't hurt to be in that 20 car obviously. It also helped when Kyle who was behind him hit the wall.
You're right, it looks like JGR will be ok... with or without Tony.

Oh yeah, congrats to Dale on his win yesterday. Jr Nation needed a rest from throwing cans at Kyle.

  8. High marks from me on their fuel mileage win. The first person to congratulate Jr.? Casey Mears.

Back to significant news . . . Tony leaving Gibbs only leaves him with a tough road ahead of him. I understand his thought process, but even Zippy isn't sure he wants to go with him.
