Young Hamilton gets his first F1 win. What a perfect race by the rookie while drama hit up many of the other championship contenders.

  7. OK, I'm not going to cry foul, since the 12's crewchief seemed ok with the result, but how in the world can NASCAR yellowflag--really red flag-- for rain drops when the leader is in the process of getting passed? The 12 was past the 24's door when they dropped the flag. They're just lucky it wasn't the 8 car or they might have had a riot on their hands, maybe not at Pocono but for sure at Lowes or Daytona. How was this any different than the last lap of the Daytona 500 when they let Harvick pass Martin to win at the line despite 25 cars piling up behind them?

Nothing against Gordon or his crew, who made a great call, but NASCAR seems to have just lost all sense of even appearing impartial in these things. One week it's phantom debris, the next it's a guy "speeding" on pit road after he spent the prior week blasting NASCAR, then it's Juan Pablo's mighty motor in mexico city, I mean , do they really think fans are that dumb?

Maybe they could have Vince McMahon as the honorary starter for Indy.

  8. Ya know...Im getting sick and tired of non stop whining every time Gordon wins...there's always an excuse, a conspiracy yada yada yada.......The guy won fair and square and Gordon and Newman both talked about the fact that Gordon let off because he saw the rain coming an Newman floored it hoping to get lucky...why do you think they were joking around afterword??? Gordon has the best crew chief right now and almost every decision he has made has worked perfect....the bigger issue was not the rain...they could have had it dried in an hour....but they have no lights!!! it was 7:30.....the race didn;t start till 5 due to the previous rain

I'm with TM on this one -- Gordon had a 4+ car lead and going into the turn he let off as the rain poured down. Ryan drove deep into the corner knowing what was happening and just hoping to get lucky.

Jeff is actually fortunate that Hoots saw what was happening and called for the yellow when he did, otherwise Ryan would have stolen it with the last ditch dive.

  10. Im waiting to hear some Jr. fans start in that he made it rain somehow.....ya know whats funny? All the Jr. Fans hate Gordon and think he's their arch rival....but Gordon and his fans ( like me:D ) could care less because Jr. is not a rival....he doesn't win...he's about as much a challenge to 24, as say Greg Biffel or Elliot Saddler.
