Genesis Sec. must get their act together

Discussion in 'Prop Firms' started by NJ1000, Jun 13, 2005.

  1. They do 1-2% of NASDAQ vol per day. NASDAQ volume is about 1.8 Billions shares per day. That means that Genesis does about 20 million shares per day. (ONLY ON NASDAQ)

Including NYSE and AMEX, I think there are more then 30 million shares per day.

It's true I've been burned on occasion by something that is a result of Genesis' growing pains. But I am helped by low commissions and fast execution EVERY DAY. Growing pains go away once the company grows out of them. Low commissions and fast executions stick around.

Don't get me wrong, I've been royally pissed off sometimes, and I've complained to Serge and his crew like crazy before, and that's how they know how to keep on building a better company.

I think Genesis' act is pretty together. Mistakes and growing pains just mean that I'm in on the ground floor of an up-and-comer to watch.

    Hi JB,

I believe this is in reference to E*Trade Pro.

E*Trade Pro did shut down their prop division.

Genesis, however, has no intention of shutting down its prop division.
