You mentioned your age before I mentioned Medicare? No, dipshit. The point was that you, like you deadbeat cohorts, wish to deny universal coverage as it is the only viable funding for Medicare, for which your parents and you will happily partake. All conservatives rail about socialized medicine yet are more than happy to receive Medicare. Average contribution is $14k and the average outlay is $104k. Good (30% YoY). I hope you choke on it.
Again you assume wrong. I am all for Medicare reform. Again, I have no clue why you decided I am pro-Medicare. Might I add that it's the Democrats that are against reducing or reforming SS/Medicare
Wow, you're dense. You're a hypocrite bc you bitch and whine and (will) accept benefits under the entitlement.
Wow you're bizarre. It seems you're very angry about medicare. May I ask you if you voted for Obama in 2012? If so, you probably know he bashed Paul Ryan's attempt to reform medicare.... In fact, they were running ads about throwing grandma over a cliff. Will I accept benefits? Obviously I will. Will SS/medicare be in tact when I'm of retirement age? Probably not. I pay in the employer contribution (on all my employees) as well as the employee contribution on my salary. So I pay in far more than I will get back in benefits. I would opt out if I had the choice, but as you know there is not an option for that.
No, I canvassed for Ron Paul. I've never voted for a Democrat. My wife is a Prescott (GW Bush cousin), but I didn't vote for him either. You have no way to know if you will receive more than you contribute, and the vast majority pay a small % of the benefits received. $200k annual income * 2.9% contribution over 30Y is less than $175k. A couple of week's stay in the ICU. Your math skills are only exceeded by Neel Kashkari and your buddy GW. Of course you make meellions, right? Your employee contributions are moot. Even you must admit they're revenue positive/accretive (employees) or you'd fold up shop. Or do you run a charity? An orphanage, perhaps?
This will sound like a socialist comment, and a person with your beliefs will probably be insulted that I made such a comment. But would a single payer health insurance system actually be beneficial to your bottom line? Obviously Obama's program is far from Single Payer, and its horrible, most of us who voted for him on the health care reform that he was promising DID NOT vote for this BS. People who wanted health care reform wanted a Medicare type program which included everyone...not just the elderly, which is pretty easy to do. I posted on the other thread in this section about the US becoming europe, that I have seen small business owners thrive in France even with higher taxes in general (in some cases however there are many ways around the taxes). So you will never convince me that there is no opportunity in socialst countries. The reason the French usually don't produce anything and don't have a capitalist mentality is because they are generally lazy and don't like money hungry people. The small business owners who I know in France are second or 3rd generation immigrants, and some from jewish descent, and as we all know Jewish people are very good business people, and are willing to work hard to make business work.
Is this a new phenomena ? Or do you wear thoroughbred blinkers on a daily basis. You ready to riot now ? Lol Mission accomplished ... I did not have sexual relations with that woman ... Read my lips ... Lmao
i'm not trying to insult anyone here(ever). all i'm saying is that it's probably same exact s** in france, argentina, russia or in any more or less socialistic country. kids do and will stay with their parents for reasons i've mentioned above(and Mr Peterffly pointing out on underlying cause) . as USA is heading to this socialistic path at full speed-you will see more and more of it. it's very sad (for me specially) to see this trend, cause we already know the outcome.
---- People who wanted health care reform wanted a Medicare type program which included everyone...not just the elderly, which is pretty easy to do. --- seriously? can you give us more details? regarding all this obamacare nonsense and everyone deserve to be insured and covered- back in a day, while i was working for $3.5 an hour in a sweat shop and my wife babysitting at home we bough a keystone plan for low income families.it covers emergency room and 4 doctors visits per year for each member of the family. cost about 95$ a month. worth imo every penny.isn't same s**t Obama was pushing? the plans are out there and they cost LESS than his crap. problem is- that those 40mil or whatever number who is uninsured don't f** care about it.. the people, who 'deserve' to be covered.they are either lazy or stupid or care less about it. what make those in DC think that they will buy their crap? they will NOT. that's why it's no working now. the website is not a problem.. have some ball to admit it,mr president..
Look man, its pretty easy, open up the medicare program for every citizen who wants to pay into it. Charge a reasonable amount, $50-100 bucks a month. Make it affordable for companies to pay it. Makes it easy for entrepreneurs to start a business without having to worry about health care problems. It eliminates bankruptcies for people who are uninsured. The only people its not good for are the insurance companies, and probably doctors in some cases. I lived in France and I had private Health insurance, and here it would be comparable to the highest plan you can have. AXA gave me a policy that covered me everywhere in the world, I did not have to pay a DIME out of my pocket above the monthly premium. This included hospital stays, surgeries, physical therapy, unlimited doctors visits, tests, cancer screenings, Chemo, medicines and prescriptions, anything u can think of. It cost me 1200 euros a year. So dont tell me that it cant be done, because I have done it, I have paid for it and had the policy and even used the benefits.
