Thanks for all the advice guys. Today was a profitable day for me, and without this thread would have been a loss instead. gtor514, I completely agree. That's why I made this thread - I couldn't understand what I'd done wrong and absolutely had to find out. I was half expecting the answer to just be "sometimes you can't reason which way it will go". So I was surprised when good reasons were put forward. Wallace, I'll take a look at MT4, thanks I'll probably stick to working on all timeframe of charts though. I have enough time in the day to do that and I like the challenge of it even though the spread and commission cuts deeper on shorter trades.
