  1. You brought this type of action to my attention Van. And since I have seen two of these! I think it's anew trick to get the Meme crowd-

The company will make no sales under the ATM Offering during this 10-trading day window. 3. What the hell has happened to this company Van!--Abbot management implodes.

    • As the COVID-19 cases dropped in the spring, Abbott (ABT-0.2%) had taken steps to shred millions of its rapid COVID-19 tests at a manufacturing site in Maine, The New York Times reported.
    • The company also canceled supplier contracts and closed the only other plant in Illinois tasked with making the test, leading to the dismissal of 2,000 workers.
    • However, as people return to schools and offices while COVID-19 is making a comeback in the U.S., the demand for the popular rapid antigen tests called BinaxNOW is rising once again.
    • But this time, the company is scrambling to rehire hundreds of workers, and struggling to ramp up production.
    • According toThe Times, CVS(NYSE:CVS), Rite Aid(NYSE:RAD), and Walgreens(NASDAQ:WBA)are all selling out of the at-home test, and the deliveries from Amazon(NASDAQ:AMZN)for the test can get delayed up to three weeks.
    • Meanwhile, Abbott(NYSE:ABT)and the rival Quidel(NASDAQ:QDEL)traded lower when Bloomberg cited issues with the companies’ COVID-19 tests.
What name do you not see on that list? OraSure also selling at home tests-- their sales must be WAY UP!<----

    • IMAXisup 2.8%after B. Riley FBR floats the name as a candidate for acquisition, or a takeover by private equity.
    • It's one of a few candidates that analyst Eric Wold has put together - including MasterCraft Boat Holdings (MCFT+0.6%), digital video subscription service Gaia (GAIA+4.5%) and Chicken Soup for the Soul Entertainment (CSSE-1.6%).
    • They're all some 27% to 58% off their 52-week highs, and have some solid growth prospects coming out of the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as solid, mostly debt-free balance sheets and attractive valuation, he says.

  6. Chewy is no slam dunk to nab major pet prescription market share - Needham
Aug. 23, 2021 11:47 AM ET Chewy, Inc. (CHWY)
    • Needham warns of some obstacles for Chewy(NYSE:CHWY)as it looks to land millions in pharmacy sales. The firm warns that vets have a foothold on the market and the pet population is plateauing based on vaccination data.
    • Analyst Anna Andreeva notes that the vet channel still controls 70% of the U.S. Rx market distribution and has been seeing profitability erode given disruptive new entrants in the space, which could prompt vets to become competitive.
    • "$2B in services can't leave the vet and aren't attainable to online players (vaccines, antibiotics, and dermatology). As such, capturing a larger size of the Rx market quickly from here isn't a slam dunk and may entail setting up partnerships with vets so that incentives are better aligned (as of 2Q21, 1/3 of US vet clinics have partnered with Covetrus who helps vets set up their own online stores)."
    • Needham thinks the path to achieving the next leg of growth for CHWY could take a different form and likely entail a partnership with vets where economic models would be better aligned.
    • The firm keeps a Hold rating on Chewy (CHWY)

    Stoney!!!!!!!

88M shares traded today and your trusty business partner and loyal tennis friend VZ damn near bottom ticked it with his whopping 50 shares. Missed it by $0.70. Not bad. I'm holding on for now. TBH I think it'll pull back again. I might even close here in the after hours. I don't trust this market.

There's our boy Riley again Stoney!
Remember last week(?)... he's the one with the 10% divy that bought $8M worth of his own shares.

That damn thing closed at $65 today. :banghead:

  8. Van have you heard about the third thumb? Yea it's real. It was invented about 4 years ago and recently perfected. The Dr Frankenstein here; "the creator" of the third thumb is worried that in the future a job like AMAZON might FORCE their workers to either wear a third thumb... lift more, lift faster... better at the computer too... Can hold those tablets while working!!!<---Or even freakier this proof of concept.. controlling a third thumb with your feet impulses- it can lead to a spare set of arms being mandatory at some UPS job... Don't forget your X-tra arms...
Twice the work... one human. Is this a natural revolt against robots? Or something darker?
