Well, if its a hold, tell them to sell the $37.50 calls at a minimum. $35's would be better. Let me dig some more. I might be wrong Stoney. There's a few more things I want to look at here.
Walgreens Boots Alliance, Inc. (WBA)- This is the type of stk you want to be in now- healthcare & low vol NasdaqGS - NasdaqGS Real Time Price. 49.74+1.31 (+2.70%) As of 2:06PM EDT. Market open.
I suppose I am being very simpleminded but consider this very basic point as a CEO might. 2 months ago or so CPNG missed earnings and sold off and was trading RIGHT WHERE IT IS NOW. So The CEO comes back and again misses earnings and again starts a sell off... Or has he learned from the past? At the very least you tuck in a big announcement of some sort.
I know we have the Vision Fund and all of that... well aware isn't that more pressure to deliver? Or was that Ma getting out yesterday? I don't think things are that bad but they have a lot of Chinese exposure. I do think this vision fund and or Cathies ArK Funds will play a roll in an ultimate unwinding at some point. CPNG A big neg- is they had a fire at a warehouse a month ago. Well covered in media. A big Pos- they have entered Japan a huge market. So check this out. May 13 the stock trades for $35-- I just don't see this happening again, the exact same way-- not when they can control so much with toning down expenses or recognizing gains.
Fuel is up 14% since mid-May. I don't think that'll matter. Nor their earnings really. What will be big is the top-line. When it IPO'd, it was basically sold as a high growth company. BUT WAIT.... THERE'S MORE This is the one I raised hell about last quarter. Remember I said they screwed up the calculations on the report using the wrong number of shares outstanding? I have a whole thread about it. The missed by some ridiculous off the charts amount. Like $0.62 or something. I'll find that thread. You guys may be OK here. Not to mention the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation bought a bunch. Hmmmm. I'll find that thread.
The other thing, with all this stuff going on in China, I'm gonna say some of these ETF's that have an Asian and Asian growth focus, I would think they'd be thinking about re-balancing those portfolios with less China exposure. If that's the case, there's no way they won't start loading up on Coupang, especially if beat revenue tonight. So yeah. Stoney.... I think you'll be ok buddy. That bear was a good sign. You ran his ass off.
