GBA's "2021 Stock Phantasma"

  1. Slinger Bag madness. It's all I can think about. I want to develop a Serena Model in which the ball comes actually as fast as she serves! This is a great present for someone like me without friends. Pandemic also helps.

    -> A +
    • The company is growing rapidly and has secured $200 million in distribution deals globally over the next 5 years.
    -> A -
    • The company will need to raise more money soon with just $0.33 million on the balance sheet as investments in working capital and future losses will need to be funded.

The company sells an equipment bag targeted at tennis players that doubles as a tennis ball launcher. The stock shot up as a result of the company launching the product in mid-2020, but has since pulled back considerably.

For the 9 months ended January 31, 2021, the company did $7.3 million in sales, produced $1.5 million in gross profit, and had an operating loss of $2.66 million. The company's net loss was around $5.2 million.

Growth was certainly impressive in the last quarter with revenue jumping to $4.12 million from $2.62 million the quarter before.

just $330,000 in cash <--- will come to market....

The company's flagship product (and only current product) is the Slinger Bag. The base model of the Slinger Bag retails for $590. Models can fetch up to $900 retail with various features and accessories. The bag can be remote-controlled, launch balls at up to 73 km/h, and hold up to 144 tennis balls at a time. The bag weighs 33 pounds and has a 5-hour battery life. The company has applied for patents on three main components of the bag in Asia, Europe, the U.S., and most other major markets. The patent-pending pieces are known as the Slinger Launcher, the Slinger Oscillator, and the Slinger Telescopic Ball Tube.

The company markets the bag as a solution for tennis players that want to practice without dropping thousands of dollars on a ball launcher, or for when a player simply cannot find a partner to play with at a particular time.

Tennis is not the only sport that uses equipment bags. The company has already laid out plans to launch similar products in various other sports such as pickleball, padel (paddle tennis), soft tennis (played in Japan), baseball, softball, and even cricket.

Well Stoney lol... the $125 was kind of a joke.
We'll see what it does in the next few weeks.
I think this last quarter pretty much lays to rest any remaining doubts held by the Wall Street naysayers.
It just depends on how bad the whales want in and what kind of multiple they're willing to pay for that growth.

Going forward now, much of the volatility we've experienced with it will dampen out.
Give it about a month and we'll see a definitive support level establish itself.
UNLESS lol, it just keeps going crazy and keeps climbing.

So, next up, our beloved Robolox. Their revenue should double again too.

Its interesting though, I think yesterday Stephanie Link on CNBC said she would rather own Twitter.
She has one of the best track records on there. If Steph likes Twitter better than SNAP, Stoney we've gotta start watching TWTR. I never look at it tbh.

  6. The danger with SPAC's is thatthey may raise money at any time because PIPE investors are in cheaper.. so as stupid as it sounds CLNN is coming to market....
It will be down pretty good today i bet.

    Clene
    (CLNN)

Clene, a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company pursuing a unique track in the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases. The company uses nanotechnology to treat bioenergetic failure, and underlying factor in many neurological conditions. The company is developing bioenergetic nanocatalysts, a new class of drugs, to ‘jump start’ neurorepair through an energy-enhancing bioenergetic catalysis. In short, the company’s approach is to improve bio functions at the cellular level, so that the body can repair itself.

Clene has four drug candidates it its pipeline. The leading one, CNN-Au8, is described as a concentrated nanocrystalline gold (Au) suspension that drives critical cellular bioenergetic reactions in the central nervous system. CNN-Au8 is undergoing several concurrent clinical trials, including a Phase 3 trial for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS, or Lou Gehrig’s disease) and Phase 2 trials for multiple sclerosis (MS) and Parkinson’s disease. All of these are progressive, chronic, degenerative conditions of the neuromuscular system.

The Phase 3 trial of CNN-Au8 reached the 50% enrollment milestone during Q1. Full enrollment is expected before the end of this year, and topline data is expected to become available during 1H22. Further updates on the company’s various other clinical trial programs are scheduled for later this year.

This company went public in December of last year through a SPAC merger transaction. The merger, with Tottenham Acquisition I Limited brought proceeds of $31.9 million, and saw CLNN shares debut on the NASDAQ on December 31 at $9.01 per share.

Covering CLNN for Cantor Fitzgerald, analyst Charles Duncan set an Overweight (i.e. Buy) rating and a $22 price target that indicates room for ~129% share appreciation from the current $9.63 share price.

“We see the non-specificity of ‘Au8 as a positive for broad applicability to a range of diseases in which oxidative stress and metabolic dysfunction is a key driver of pathophysiology. In addition, although crystalline gold has long been thought to have metabolic activity, it is not until we’ve seen the convergence of deeply scientific knowledge of nanocrystal technology with management capabilities in neurobiology and drug development, that we’ve been compelled to consider the therapeutic potential of gold in the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases," Duncan opined.

The analyst added, "Clene owns patented technology which enables gold nanocrystals to form into specific shapes that are particularly conducive to facilitating nanocatalytic activity and filtering toxic particles from the gold surface to drive differentiated clinical profile, potentially opening the door to broad deployment within medicine.

In its short time on the public markets, CLNN has attracted 4 analyst reviews – and all are positive, making the analyst consensus a Strong Buy. The stock has an average price target of $22.25, suggesting a 131% one-year upside from current levels.

  7. Mr Market has a way of making you confused and sad. Could today's massive gains sitting on the door of a new high possibly be reversed?

There is something wrong and the tell is Air BnB.... Why is that stock not up? It says something bigger. Something about the virus.

I don't buy into the manufacturing stats the gov is giving us.
There is a manufacturing slowdown due to inflation, raw materials lacking of semi conductors and bottlenecks. Ontop if that All those cargo containers that come here from China are going back empty. Farmers are getting screwed. Stuff is not getting from point A to point B.

There IS a slowdown. Then pile on Biden's stupid tax plans and we have a not so great set up.
DOW + 180 // S&P + 21. A big reversal from a failed high is called a death cross or hammer toe I forget.. I really do think that could happen today. Maybe SNAP saved the market or CMG or Starbucks...

It's like you said, DKNG scares me a little. I'm afraid the Justice Dept will come after them for something.
Other than that yeah, to da moon.
