  2. 1847 Goedeker reports June revenue up 47.8% to $55.7M 08:36 GOED 1847 Goedeker is pleased to report continued strong growth with record monthly orders and revenue results. June monthly orders increased 19.2% from the prior year period to $73.2M while June monthly revenues totaled $55.7M, representing a 47.8% increase over the June 2020 results. "We are incredibly pleased with the continued strong momentum during the first half of this year, as June marks a record performance for the organization," stated Doug Moore, CEO of Goedekers. "Throughout the past month, we have experienced a significantly improved fill rate of 76.1%, up from 61.4% in June of 2020, along with record shipments. We are encouraged by the sequential progress we made in revenue achievement versus orders as the fill rate of 76.1% is at its highest level for 2021. Suppliers continue to take steps to improve supply, although our fill rate has a significant opportunity for improvement beyond the 76% achieved in June. Speed of delivery and the customer satisfaction levels for delivery remain at the forefront of our strategic plan." Moore continued, "The first month of being a combined company went well. As we continue to pursue our long-term goals and model of investments driving scalable profitable growth, we believe we are in a great position to continue this momentum through the balance of the year." "Let me also add some detail on this week's acquisition announcement. We entered into an asset purchase agreement with Appliance Gallery, a highly regarded Largo, Florida-based luxury appliance retailer and will be able to pay the cash purchase price that is due at closing for the acquisition out of our positive operating cash flow. There will not be any offering or other financing associated with the transaction,"

Yeah we covered this already Stoney.

The ipo will go right back to the current shareholders and it'll be reflected in a decrease of ABB class A's price, offset with the addition of some fractional ownership of the new ipo shares. So it'll be a wash out of the gate, but the bet will be on the ipo'd stock taking off from there.
    It's a good move.

The rest of their divestiture is less than 17% of existing revenues, so not quite "divesting everything".
As I pointed out, grid is still a huge part of their operation.

Now, the grid is one thing, but power-plants are another. We need more capacity. It won't be hydro, kills fish. It won't be coal, kills the atmosphere. Natty works, but it still has an atmospheric footprint.
Solar, wind, wave action are all good... but I don't see them providing what we'll need by 2035 when 70% of our vehicles will be electric.

That leaves nuclear. How long does it take to build a nuclear plant? 10 years easy.

So who knows. If we build power-plants then we need to look at the big E&C companies for the granny portfolio. Fluor is a good one for that.

    $FLR

Historically its been a dog, but I wonder if its time has finally come.
That's another one that needs to divest things.
Its needs some new blood in management.
    I bet it happens.

    $FLR at $17 is in the G4G portfolio bull-pen.

Increased total orders since inception to $148 million, up from $114 million as of December 31, 2020, driven in part by growth in orders in the grocery and parcels verticals. --American Express price target raised to $200 from $185 at Wells Fargo 07:31 AXP Wells Fargo analyst Donald Fandetti raised the firm's price target on American Express to $200 from $185 and keeps an Overweight rating on the shares ahead of quarterly results. The analyst expects to see earnings beats and positive estimate revisions for most of the card companies in his coverage. The networks are benefiting from reopening spend in the U.S. and slowly improving cross border, while issuers should have hefty reserve releases and slowly improving loan balances, Fandetti contends. He sees the recent market pullback around growth fears, bond yields and Delta variant as an opportunity to build positions as the broader recovery thesis remains intact.
