  1. IPO Watch.

I don't see how this one doesn't work out.- Buy on 1st tick i would think-

Shopify-backed Global-E prices IPO at $25, trading commences today
    • Global-e Online (GLBE) has priced initial public offering of 15M of its ordinary sharesat $25 per share, higher end of the expected range of $23-$25.
    • Underwriters' over-allotment is an additional 2.25M shares.
    • The shares are expected to begin trading today on Nasdaq and the offering is expected to close on May 14.
    • Last month, Shopify(NYSE:SHOP) bought 7.75M shares in the company, acquiring a 6.5% stake and after the IPO the stake will slip to 5.4%.
    • Shopify also acquired warrants that entitle it to an additional 11.85M shares over the coming two years, which could bring the value of Shopify's stake to nearly $500M if the current pricing holds.

  3. The Street.com when it 1st came out had a stock picking contest world wide. At the time I was blogging heavily probably here but also on some other format like an actual Blog... It wasn't AOl but somewhere and Jimbo knew about me because as a newcomer I over arched and challenged him alot and sent him alot of emails of all my stocks that were doubling and tripling. (go go days)

The Street had a stock picking contest and it was all on line and official I checked my standing every day

and I came IN THIRD IN THE WORLD.

    #1 got $100,000
#2 a fancy present of some kind maybe a TV and Home Entertainment system
#3 gets a freakin'T shirt. That said something about the contest and being in the top 1%.

The 1% Club Or something..The 1% ers I WAS FINALLY IN!!! They finally let me in...
And then the T shirt never came and when I asked an intern I knew who worked at the Street he told me it was Jimmy's doing. Of course it's my fault for all the nasty emails I had sent him
but a contest is a contest and that T shirt would of meant the world to me. If any of you play fantasy crap you know coming in 3rd in the world in anything is no easy feat.

      • Predicting a "consumer-security renaissance," BofA upgrades NortonLifeLock(NASDAQ:NLOK) from Underperform to Buy and raises the price target from $19 to $30.
      • Analyst Tal Liani: " We were previously concerned about low growth and weak sales channels, yet the company demonstrated improvements on multiple fronts such as better growth, which was directly correlated with the solid execution of management’s strategy combined with high margin and cash flow generation, all of which are driving our double upgrade."
      • The analyst expects the security renaissance within the next couple of years, largely driven by increased consumer awareness and the currently low penetration rate.
      • NLOK shares areup 1.9%pre-market to $23.80.
      • Related: Earlier this week, NortonLifeLock reported FQ4 beats, added $1.5B to its buyback program, and provided upside guidance.

  5. Boy this seems ill advised-

Michigan governor warns state could take Enbridge's profits in pipeline dispute

    • Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer threatens to seize profitsf rom Enbridge(NYSE:ENB) if the company continues to operate its Line 5 pipeline through the Great Lakes after tomorrow.
    • The governor has given the company until May 12 to shut the pipeline after revoking its permit, an order Enbridge has refused, arguing in a lawsuit that Michigan does not have the authority to close the line.
    • Whitmer warned Enbridge today that if the company continues to operate Line 5, its operations would be considered "an intentional trespass," and the state would, if it wins in court, require the company to disgorge "all profits derived from its wrongful use of the State's property" after her May 12 deadline.
    • The potential closure of the 645-mile pipeline has become a major issue for Midwestern states and for Canada, whose government has said closing the pipeline would cut off almost half the supply used to make gasoline, jet fuel and home heating oil for residents in central Canada, and lead to higher fuel costs and thousands of job losses.
    • The state of Ohio already filed a brief siding with Enbridge in the case, and Canada weighed in today with its own brief in support of the company.
