Last One Van!! Every video tells a story... I have to say one of my last memories of life as we knew it was when I was in California on the day Pop Smoke was robbed and murdered. I went down to the super expensive sneaker store and commiserated with the guys that worked there. I was really shook up. Pop came from Brooklyn and was my Son's favorite rapper. He had a distinct style and was going to be very very big. Truly a sad moment that he should be taken away from all of us. Then the Pandemic came. The new movie Boogie has Pop in it.
Yesterday I saw it start to fall and bought the $80 Puts only 15 for a tad above $1, made $2.50 on them. CNBC finally said what I was thinking because FB, SNAP and my little PERI were all falling. Rosedale? Little broker said “Ad Rev was falling, no big spending by companies and price compression”. Heard that three Qs on each stock, maybe they’re right this tome? I bought 400 PINS various prices from $75.9 to $76.70. Bought SNAP at $60.8(I think) and PERI got bottom tick. Lots of us on this thread love your posts and insights Stoney. We like your DD, AFRM seemed like a strange call.
I'm not "betting against" anyone. Right now I see a plethora of stocks that have hit the street in the last 12 months resulting in more shares floating around than there is money to buy them. You mentioned "lock-up expiration". I looked at this company's S1 ( https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1820953/000110465921000697/tm2026663-15_s1a.htm#tPRST) and not unlike every other one of these overvalued, based on hype, paper-tigers spawned from the Paypal Mafia... ...the entire next decade is one big lock-up expiration. Look at that S-1. 8 pages dedicated to compensation of insiders. 25MM shares here, 25MM shares there. Its laughable. Now... to Affirm in general. What does this mean?: "We certainly are very careful to not say out loud exactly where and how we do our underwriting." We'll see how the diversity thing plays out there. Lets give Affirm complete access to that phone we can't live without so they can see everything we do, every place we go, every purchase we make...and lets let our cutting edge AI determine if this the kind of cat we want to extend credit to. No late fee's? No penalties? Well ya know what, there should be late fees and penalties. Grandma VZ used to beat into our heads... "pay as you go or don't go!" Now... lets look at regulations. So Jr goes out and gets his 'dopamine fix' ( Max's words above, not mine) by buying a $300 pair of shoes (he couldn't save for) and he misses a few payments. Does Affirm report that to the big three credit reporting agencies? I don't know. Seems like a valid question though. What if Jr goes out to buy a house or a car. He/she will have to disclose the fact that they have an outstanding balance with Max. Those mortgage underwriters will demand to see their payment record. So while Max may not hit them with a $10 late fee... being late on a payment is STILL being late on a payment. And what about all the Fair Credit reporting laws? How will that fit in with their "secret approval process"? Valid question. Bottom line Stoney..., the market is a frenzy right now. The dust is gonna settle ok. It always does. Up $1.60 since you mentioned it. Bfd. If it drops to $50 will you point that out too? Maybe Affirm is a great company, Max sounds like a cool cat, but in the end a business is only worth its revenues and profits. People seem to think its ok to forecast ten years out on unproven models. Whatever. There's trading and there's investing. Trade Affirm... invest in proven models.
AFRM first stop is $77. Then $90. It is a trade! obviously. This is worth $77+... wait till the next round of numbers. I know it's expensive but the growth is exponential. Hey guess what I just got Affirmed. Someone tried to buy now and pay later on me! I swear. Got this weird email that my " Apple i phone 12 was being delivered by Courier to my Apt (postmates). This to the man that does not own a cell phone.! But it was on my wife's card tied to my acct and she was scammed somehow. What is the scam? will the box being delivered contain an i phone 6? Get this I'm in the country! I can't reject it-- we had to call the doorman of our building and say Paul whatever you do do not accept anything from a courier for us!!! How sketchy! I'm just getting my reputation back from the whole bank fiasco! Called Amex and YUP $1,000.+ Charge Apple store-- with " some red flags on it " Huh. red flags why did you put it through? Damn it! Stopped payment but I am supposed to reject this parcel and get some form of proof of that-- you know that's not happening.... I fear this is because of the big Facebook hack! damn!
... this is not a generalized comment about women.. My wife.. she just couldn't help herself to the operator at Apple where she called to report this she said: " the funny thing is I really want this. I was hoping for an i phone 12 as an anniversary gift.. now my husband probably won't do it..." I'm upstairs banging my head against the wall.. you sound like an addicted shopper who had regrets about a $1,000 phone!!!
