GBA's "2021 Stock Phantasma"

Discussion in 'Stocks' started by stonedinvestor, Jan 1, 2021.

  1. One way to estimate where ChargePoint’s stock is headed is to compare its market capitalization to the main competitor, Blink (BLNK). Blink owns the next-largest market share of about 8%, which is a factor of nine less than ChargePoint. Blink’s market capitalization is $1.4 billion, and multiplying by the factor of nine suggests that either (i) CHPT’s market capitalization should end up at around $12.6 billion, or (ii) BLNK is overpriced and its price will drop. Considering the number of ChargePoint shares (300 M), if CHPT were to trade with the same optimism as Blink, then the CHPT share price would be about $1.2 billion / 300 M shares = $41 per share, which is in-line with Oppenheimer’s $39 price target that was announced about a week ago.

Utilizing a technology with the potential to replace virtually all petroleum-derived materials to transform plant biomass into sustainable products.

The world is moving towards a bio-based economy. As biological processes replace current industrial ones for the production of chemicals, a cost-effective, clean, non-food source of cellulosic sugars is essential. Leaf Resources is a leading company in converting plant biomass into these sugars, reducing carbon dioxide emissions in the chemical industry by up to 70 percent. Their patent pending GlycellTMTM process makes this possible with its advanced and highly effective technology for breaking down plant-derived biomass into useful, sustainable, renewable, and biodegradable products. The biomass used in the GlycellTMTM process is mostly agricultural waste, and its supply is virtually limitless. The main reagent in the process is glycerol, a byproduct of biodiesel production, and it is the key to better performance and economics. Additionally, Leaf has licensed LeafCOAT, a 100 percent bio-based, renewable, recyclable, biodegradable, waterproof barrier coating for packaging that can replace petroleum wax and plastic waterproofing, which cannot be recycled. LeafCOAT presents the same qualities in a completely biodegradable, recyclable, and sustainable solution. Utilized in food packaging, coffee cups, and container board, LeafCOAT will revolutionize the sustainability of this industry.

i got shares all over the place. everywhere from 13.87-15.80. i'm not down a lot, so i'm ok with that. it's just, i worry about holding any of this stuff with how the nasdaq has been. i bought a lot (for me) because i wasn't planning on holding. so i'm going to have to downsize at the very least.

What Evotherm® can mean for you?

Evotherm is a WMA technology that offers exceptional advantages for municipalities. Its easy-to-use formula provides comprehensive benefits that surpass conventional HMA. Start saving with the most cost-effective warm mix additive on the market.

    ¡ Longer-lasting asphalt
    ¡ Improved density
¡ Extended paving season ¡ Reduced user delays

¡ Better workability ¡ Longer hauls
    ¡ Proven antistrip
    ¡ Lower odor

    ¡ Lowest emissions
    ¡ Lowest temperature

    Longer-lasting Asphalt

    Year

Evotherm allows the production and compaction of asphalt pavement at much lower temperatures than conventional HMA. Lower temperatures reduce the oxidation of the liquid asphalt binder, which translates into longer-lasting roads.

    Improved Density

Evotherm improves the workability of mixes. The Evotherm technical team can help you make consistent densities a reality, even when stiff asphalt binders, winter weather and long hauls are obstacles.

    Extended Paving Season

Because the addition of Evotherm allows the production of asphalt at lower temperatures, pavements can be compacted when it would otherwise be too cold to pave with conventional HMA. This is welcomed news to many municipalities located in colder climate regions who can now extend the typical paving season. Evotherm is also allowing some municipalities to pave in cooler months outside
of tourist season when there is less road congestion. No matter your needs or motivation, a little Evotherm can enable your paving season to become a lot longer.

    Proven Long-term Performance

Contractors have paved over 300,000 miles of Evotherm around the world on all types of asphalt pavements. That’s enough Evotherm to pave to the moon and start the journey back to the earth. There are more miles of WMA paved with Evotherm than any other additive on the market. The U.S. National Center for Asphalt Technology has been evaluating Evotherm pavements since 2005. In a study of Evotherm from 2005 to 2012, results demonstrated that it can withstand over 30 million ESALs with less than 1/8 inch of rutting.

    Easy to Use

Evotherm promotes adhesion at lower temperatures by acting as both a liquid antistrip and a WMA additive. It can replace lime with an easy-to-handle, pumpable liquid. Evotherm may be added at the mix plant or at the asphalt terminal. No special procedures are needed. Production temperatures can be lowered as soon as Evotherm is mixed into the binder. Evotherm can be used in any type of mix plant and is compatible with all grades of liquid asphalt.

    Positive Environmental Impact

Evotherm reduces environmental emissions up to 97 percent and creates a fume-free work environment for crews and surrounding businesses and neighborhoods. The improved workability of Evotherm mixes helps make high-recycled mixes possible. Some contractors use more than 40 percent RAP and/or add up to 5 percent RAS. Using more recycled content is good for the environment and help municipalities stretch precious paving dollars.

    understood.

im a little miffed. i called schwab and the agent said "it should transfer over today", he asked if i wanted to place a broker assisted order. so I gave him one, but when we got to the confirmation stage, he said there could be a problem if I sold shares and something went awry with the delivery of the bft shares. so i just punted for the day.

thanks. yes. Leaf resources has been a winner. it has gone from .07 to .093 over the week on news. they are supposed to be a bio-plastics company, but covid hampered their plans to work with gevo and their hopes on building two factories. so they instead bought a company that specializes in extracting pine chemicals and that company was just building a factory. so the factory went live this week and they announced their first sales. the long game, i believe, or at least what i think has people wanting to buy this stock, is the idea that the tree refuse from the pine chemical factory can become future feedstocks for bioplastics once the plastic factory is built.

to buy it you need an account that allows foreign markets. i used interactive brokers. you need to get australian rights from interactive brokers then convert money to australian. australia requires that you start a position with...i think it's a min $500 position. $6 transaction fee. so. yah. it's a pain. but i've got three australian stocks and i like where they are priced at.
