  2. Good Morning stonedinvestors & good bye winter!
    Spring has Sprung.
Spring a time of rejuvenation and growth.
    • Quote:"There is a significant overlap emerging between deep value stocks and momentum stocks - there are a number of autos, banks, materials, and energy stocks which are screening as both value and momentum," wrote strategists led by Sarah McCarthy. "This is the holy grail of quant and value investing."
    • To back up the outlook, Bernstein points to market movement around the time of the $1.9T coronavirus stimulus package, which sent investors rushing to buy stocks exposed to an accelerating economy and rising inflation. That resulted in a portfolio changeover to financials, energy and industrials and away from tech, which had dominated momentum investing for much of the last decade.
    • Go deeper:The catalyst for this value rotation "is very different to any period in history," Bernstein continued. "It is being driven by the re-opening trade, and improving macro outlook, and is directly linked to continuously increasing nominal yields, a steepening yield curve and increasing inflation expectations. "We are in a very different policy environment and possibly are at the start of a much bigger change in the inflation regime. We are tactically long Value and think there is further to go."

  4. Vegas Ready To Recover From Pandemic
"The leisure customer will return to Las Vegas in a shorter time period than the business customer as we continue to emerge from the Great Shutdown," says Brendan Bussmann, government affairs director at Las Vegas-based Global Market Advisors.

"One of the keys to this, though, will be keeping good (airline) lift into the market because the leisure customer is still looking for deals and capacity is somewhat still constrained as airlines try to recoup losses."

I would say that one way to frame the challenge of AI, is that it's obviously a new technology. It can be a powerful weapon, but there also are ways in which it has sort of a totalitarian vibe.

Our society has effectively outsourced the building of software that makes our world possible to a small group of engineers in an isolated corner of the country. The question is whether we also want to outsource the adjudication of some of the most consequential moral and philosophical questions of our time.

The engineering elite of Silicon Valley may know more than most about building software. But they do not know more about how society should be organized or what justice requires.

Our company was founded in Silicon Valley. But we seem to share fewer and fewer of the technology sector’s values and commitments.

From the start, we have repeatedly turned down opportunities to sell, collect, or mine data. Other technology companies, including some of the largest in the world, have built their entire businesses on doing just that.

Software projects with our nation’s defense and intelligence agencies, whose missions are to keep us safe, have become controversial, while companies built on advertising dollars are commonplace. For many consumer internet companies, our thoughts and inclinations, behaviors and browsing habits, are the product for sale. The slogans and marketing of many of the Valley’s largest technology firms attempt to obscure this simple fact.

The world’s largest consumer internet companies have never had greater access to the most intimate aspects of our lives. And the advance of their technologies has outpaced the development of the forms of political control that are capable of governing their use.

-Alex Karp, Letter to Shareholders (Palantir S-1)

…And the consumer internet companies, this is not Apple but the other ones, have basically decided we're living on an island. And the island is so far removed from what's called the United States in every way, culturally, linguistically, in the normative ways, that we'd rather be regulated as a foreign island than be part of the United States proper…

…You cannot create an island called Palo Alto Island that is only subject to regulation much like a canton system. What Silicon Valley really wants is the canton of Palo Alto. We don't have a cantonal system in America. We have United States of America, not the United States of a Canton, one of which is Palo Alto. That must change.

This comment was particularly prophetic. One year later Nevada proposed new legislation that would allow tech companies to form their own governments,<----- with authority to impose taxes, form courts, and provide government services such as police. This came months after Google announced it would invest $1.8B in Nevada. Google has a subsidiary,Sidewalk Labs, dedicated to building a city “from the internet up”. Such a project might provide a concrete legal framework for “virtual statehood”.<------

Truist starts Aemetis at Buy on 'unique position for outsized growth' 07:17 AMTX As previously reported, Truist analyst Jordan Levy initiated coverage of Aemetis with a Buy rating and $35 price target. The analyst sees the company with a "unique position" to drive outsized growth in the "attractive emerging market" of renewable fuels while also citing its geographically-advantaged California asset base. Levy believes that Aemetis can grow revenues by over 5-times to nearly $1B by 2025, while growing EBITDA from near zero to over $270M.

  8. Boy I hope this idea works... but I think I'm going to give this a whirl--
I like electric buses they fit with my outlook on life.

This company is changing it's name -- honestly I like the old one better... Vicinity is a weird name for a bus that you expect at a certain stop at a certain time.. Where is the bus sir... it's in the vicinity!!

Grande West Transportation Group Inc. (TSXV:BUS)(OTCQX:BUSXF)(FRA:6LG) CEO William Trainer tells Proactive the Vancouver-based supplier of electric, CNG, gas and clean diesel buses will change its name to Vicinity Motor Corp and up-list to the Nasdaq. Trainer says the name change reflects its flagship line of Vicinity buses. He says the up-list comes at a time when the company is looking to expand its reach into the US: the group is building a new factory in Washington state to manufacture its buses, and its expand its dealer network within the US<------

    A) new factory

    B) new orders

    C) That newsflow we were talking about....

  9. BUSXF- $1.92<-----

5 days ago it was $2.26

1 month ago it was $2.76

6 months ago it was $3.41

Ok so Jan 8 it is $1.50-$1.57--> makes a move to $3.41 on good volume bars and as long eased off since wringing out investors, declining volume...

In general we have a co that is actually building something, producing something and the world has come to them... You know the news in their sector is good and it's the right time to be building a US factory...

Certainly there is lots of competitors However, look at the price we are getting before an uplist to the Nasdaq and all of that....

So what is the downside? $1.30 is the 52 week low.

Man I think this is a rather good risk/reward....
