Despite lofty tech valuations, Baird says sweet-spot fresh pick has 39% upside Mar. 15, 2021 7:36 PM ETSprout Social, Inc. (SPT)<-------- Market volatility has a number of investors worried about tech investing, and software-as-a-service multiples in particular, Baird notes. But it's giving Fresh Pick status to a company helping others manage their social media presence along with PR, marketing, strategy and other areas. Sprout Social(NASDAQ:SPT)is headed for above-average growth (by which it means 30%-plus) in coming years thanks in part to recent billings strength, annual contract value growth and ARR acceleration as social benefits from some strong tailwinds ahead. The company's "tone on the road" has been positive this quarter, suggesting a healthy follow-through to a strong Q4, the firm's Rob Oliver writes. And marketing department checks are pointing to the rising importance of social media, as well as Sprout's best-in-class offerings. "The two foundational components of our bullish thesis on Sprout have been (1) the rise of 'social commerce' which we expect to drive increased spend for solutions like Sprout's, and (2) a low-friction business model that delivers rapid time-to-value," Baird says. And that thesis is playing out so far this year, the firm says. According to a survey, 61% of millennials prefer an in-app "add to cart" option on social media rather than jumping to a third-party website to buy, and that effect is even more pronounced with younger buyers, Baird says. Sprout recently acknowledged that social commerce was starting to become a driver for the business. Meanwhile Sprout has a low-friction business model, and 90%-plus of customers are coming in via a free trial, while rivals are offering a heavier lift through a customized, professional-services intensive solution. Such a low-touch approach addresses end-user/buyer convergence, and accelerates time-to-value as companies scramble to add social media capability. And the company is seeing growth from add-ons like Premium Analytics and Social Listening (about 100% growth) as well as from use cases it's discussing to extend enterprise reach, including customer care/support, PR/Communications, Sales and Investor Relations. Baird is reiterating an Outperform rating, and using calendar 2022 revenue estimates, it thinks the stock is undervalued. Baird has a price target of $85, implying 39% upside. Sounds promising has anyone heard of Sprout Social?

I have a long unfortunate history and love affair with POOL the stock I must have tried to buy it a dozen times always missing gap ups. It never really trades down. It's one of those special stocks that just goes up. Something to do with it's size and market cap... I have watched this stock over ten years since $35 then $90 a long time then $120... then $160 then I just gave up and it never ever stopped. Imagine working for this co and getting shares.
