GBA's "2021 Stock Phantasma"

Discussion in 'Stocks' started by stonedinvestor, Jan 1, 2021.

  1. Another sign that you are at a top is stocks acting like crap!

It occurs to me PINS what does PINS NOT need to be successful?... Chips... No need of chips...
We have a shortage of chips. Big time. Will cripple tech. Any day- could lead to the BIG correction... Probably will... but PINS has no need of chips...

I don't know...I feel resistant to big chemical companies that are transitioning to bio / recycling plastic.

So the basic idea is that clothing that is made from recycled content is typically made from plastic bottles. But either way the clothes are then thrown out because there is no way to recycle clothes, and the plastic polyester problem in landfills might be worse than the plastic bottle problem in landfills. There are a lot of start ups and small research groups inventing ways of breaking down polyester fabric into yarn to make new polyester fabric, but it seems to be years away until it's commercialized.

This is the best i've found so far. Most of the fabric they're doing is of the plastic bottle variety, but they've got a mix. It's an old company with lots of ups and downs as they went through different fabric phases, but they now seem invested in recycled fabric. Stock went up on most recent earnings that showed increasing profits, so it may be a bit high right now.

--Azek price target raised to $50 from $48 at B. Riley Securities 08:02 AZEK B. Riley Securities analyst Alex Rygiel raised the firm's price target on Azek to $50 from $48 and reiterates a Buy rating on the shares following the company's fiscal Q1 results. Given the continued strength in market demand for its products, increased capacity earlier than expected during the quarter, continued recycling efforts, and another price increase, management raised its revenue and EBITDA growth guidance for 2021, Rygiel tells investors in a research note.

SQM upgraded to Buy from Neutral at Citi 06:49 SQM Citi analyst P.J. Juvekar upgraded SQM to Buy from Neutral with a price target of $62, up from $55. The analyst is "turning more bullish" on lithium due to electric vehicle momentum in China and Europe, the dissipation of excess lithium inventory, and announcements by car makers like GM to go all-electric by 2035. He expects this momentum to continue as several lithium projects were delayed over the last two year. Juvekar cautions that the spike in spot China prices will not benefit western companies immediately as they have long-term contracts. SQM has the most exposure to spot prices and should benefit first, says the analyst.

  8. Well I have a major problem. I got no email back yesterday from the Hedge Fund when I said sell GDDY. & I messed up my earnings date and they reported and now everyone is upgrading.
So did I sell or not? I do not know. It's infuriating but if here s a bad way it can work out for me--that's the way it always seems to happen. Expecting to hear the worst, But they really should of mailed me a confirm....

Snap price target raised to $40 from $29 at Citi

XPO Logistics price target raised to $150 from $138 at Citi 06:24 XPO Citi analyst Christian Wetherbee raised the firm's price target on XPO Logistics to $150 from $138 and keeps a Buy rating on the shares. Coming off XPO's Q4 conference call, the stock selloff "misses the mark," Wetherbee tells investors in a research note. The weakness is the result of positioning and likely some disappointment with LTL results, but the more important issue with XPO shares should have been how the stock would trade as the spin-off of Logistics approaches, Wetherbee tells investors in a research note. He believes the development of a "compelling non-LTL revenue growth story seems key to driving the shares higher over time."

Turtle Beach price target raised to $38 from $23.50 at Stifel 14:32 HEAR Stifel analyst Drew Crum raised the firm's price target on Turtle Beach to $38 from $23.50 and keeps a Buy rating on the shares. Crum said he updated his model and increased estimates following the company's Q4 sales update. The analyst noted that his fundamental thesis is unchanged, though he's now using a "slightly more aggressive" multiple for valuation in order to arrive at his new target price.
