Scottish economist James Wilson founded the newspaper to "take part in a severe contest between intelligence ... and ... ignorance" Its first issue (right) was published on 2 September 1843 as a broadsheet newspaper before transitioning into a perfect-bound weekly paper in 1971; the paper currently uses a stapled magazine format.
My HF friends all read the economist and value their numbers. Maybe this will get their attention. Your personal taxes are not as important as the countries financial outcome... Social security we don't need that cut we need that fixed. Why don't you rich fucks get on board with mankind.
One of our oldest friends has a daughter with an eating disorder. Those of us with boys have no idea how lucky we are. This situation got so out of control our friend's girl was kicked out of a private school here in NYC. It really boggles the mind but due to protecting their own insurance policies they kicked her out for not maintaining a healthy weight. So somehow i don't get how she gets to go to Italy as long as she weighs in at this health clinic. And she's over there and our friend gets a phone call that the cleaning ladies are upset where she is staying because they are finding puke in the sink. Warning flag much. So our friend flies over to Italy to check up on her and figure out what's going on. He checks with the clinic by phone who tells him everything is good she's checking at 110 pounds. He then goes to the hotel and finds his daughter dressed in a long white Victorian-like dress, she's on the way to the clinic to be weighed. Something is not right. He raises the hemline and she's wearing a pair of ankle weights! 5 pounds each. she only weighs 100 pounds. Back to the States. back to the Hospital. I pray everything works out but this eating stuff is really tricky. These kids are messed up by tic Toc & Insta & Snap. Troubling to say the least.
