    Ting
    First produced in 1976 by Desnoes & Geddes Limited, or D&G (also the producer of Red Stripe Beer), Ting is a popular Caribbean soda marketed as “a little island sunshine in a bottle.” It’s flavored with 6% Jamaican grapefruit juice from concentrate and sweetened with both cane sugar and artificial sweeteners.

    This is one of the bolder grapefruit sodas we tried. We found it incredibly sweet on its own, but it made for a balanced Paloma that was among our favorites. When we tried it in the Paloma, our reactions were immediate, with tasting notes that ranged from “funky” (Garret) to “extremely tangy” (Morgan) to “flavor bomb” (Rose).

    “In the Paloma it tastes like biting into a white grapefruit,” says Garret. Morgan found the soda itself cloying and syrupy, like “lemon candy,” but loved it mixed with the tequila and lime. “It makes for an incredibly bright and citrusy Paloma,” she says. “Interestingly it’s my least favorite soda but my favorite Paloma so far.” Rose noted that the bold flavor profile makes it well-suited to mixing, while Doctolero found it overpowering. “I feel like the presence of the flavor of Ting is overwhelming to the tequila, I just get a lot more of it,” she says.

    A downside: We universally found it a bit heavy on the palate, and thought the carbonation could be more consistent.

    But we got no buy order and # of shares. ---> ????
    Where'd the new $22K come form Stoney?
    Or did you just forget to make that post?

    At least I post the GBA award winning 400% winner. When was the last time you post a stock that went from $15 to $60?

    "But options don't count Van" says Stoney.

    The problem with that logic however.... in the real world, any time you can get a 400% return on your money, it doesn't matter if it's stocks, options, tulips, antiques, paintings.... whatever.... 400% in two days by understanding herd mentality... makes you the best market prognosticator GBA has to offer. There's no need to proffer a dozen "ideas" daily just so you can go back days or months later and say "Up 20%!!!!" that no one, including yourself, ever bought. In reality, one or two every once in awhile will suffice quite adequately for the real players here.

    Dear Rosie in Roswell,

    One of my one year geek alerts I program in my notification app went off.

    I hope you listened when I told you to keep holding AXP as a granny stock. This is funny... remember when Stoney mocked me the day it went down $9 shortly after I recommended it to the readers here as a long term (granny) buy and hold at $151? And it even went down a little more from there.

    But homework, patience, and real-world insights pay off. How? Because every kid in the immediate and extended family was using the card as a social status thing, like owning the latest I-phone or something. I spotted the vibe, asked, listened, laughed, and learned.

    --->Thank you Peter Lynch.

    I don't think there has ever been a Dow 30 stock that has went up 87% in a year. Even CRM and Apple are only up 39% and 34% respectively.

    The readers agree... STONEY(!).... you must take a knee and kiss the ring. :p

    Stoney... you might want to end this train-wreck of a thread and start anew with a clean slate. You're kind of tarnishing the house of GBA that Van helped build with calls like this. Please know I speak not for myself, but for those who listened to these dangerous money losing calls you make weekly, if not daily. I speak for those

    Now you claim you made another $22K with absolutely nothing to verify it. No stock picks, no quantity of shares... nothing. I drew this line in the sand two weeks ago and this has to stop, you have a responsibility to the readers here. From the hip posts, repeated time after time, can be devastating to the unseasoned among us. The above post is a perfect example. Work on it.
