$3.10 then, 1.70 now. --->The option king has left the house. Now let me teach you how you could have made this trade profitable. 1) Listen to Van in the minutes after the release with the knowledge he knows how to read a report and spot the things that could make it go up or down. 2)In that case you would have shorted it at $69, made $4, sold your call in the first hour for $2.50, a $0.60 loss on it, covered your short and walked away with $3.40 per share (~5%) Or having done that, and you still believe it will go up next week, keep the call open. Then you're still in the long trade with 21 days to go and you make money north of $67.50. 3) In the rare case Van was wrong, but you still listened and did what he said, but SKX kept going beyond $69 and say it went to $80 today... Shorting at $69 basically locked $1(+ premium) in gains on your call. Sure your short would be $11 underwater but your calls would be worth probably about $16 (assuming a $1 premium). Flatten out and you'd be up ($16-$3.10) - $11 ---> $1.90 or 61.2%. Now granted that's a far cry from the 400% you'd be up had you not shorted it, but basically you just made a 100% risk free trade locking in the gain on your option when the retail players were buying the stock in the after hours above your break even price, even though you can't sell it in the after hours. See how that works? Probably not.
Van the Sketcher's option is Aug you got time. Hold. If NVDA hits these will double just by market move. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/EBMT-ryM_2w
