I got a lot going on and I'm a bit spacey::: THERE was a news blurb just the other day it may of been yesterday.. and it was so and so well known tech co was cutting large number of I think it was programmers.. but all the cuts were in the same area of the biz and my radar went off-- AI. Was it Goog? I have to check thru news... There has been a 1st round of tech firing based on saving costs... that has rippled thru tech over the past year but now suddenly the feeling of AI replacing humans... that is about to pop out of the box... My best guess is we start a decline this wed. I think that's tomorrow. 1st based off sentiment as found on TV. Yesterday I had my day when everybody was talking the exact same talk-- that soft landing. In the bag. My own memory of things::: when you have a 10% correction 70% of the time you retrace and test it.. These ratios are from my go go days but I'm pretty sure they are constant. We get Jackson's Hole ( by the way Bloomberg guys had a complete giggle fest over this - I could tell they read my piece here) But Fed may do his usual I'm waiting for data BS. And he'll get some data - Jobs revision. And if what they are saying about the economy is true-- this number is bound to startle. And suddenly the Fed will be behind the 8 ball and a lot of the argument will be over .50 cuts. So essentially the world as you know it could change in 1 day. 1 million jobs missing<--- Goldman Sachs Group Inc. and Wells Fargo & Co. economists expect the government’s preliminary benchmark revisions on Wednesday to show payrolls growth in the year through March was at least 600,000 weaker than currently estimated — about 50,000 a month. While JP Morgan Chase & Co. forecasters see a decline of about 360,000, Goldman Sachs indicates it could be as large as a million.
Here's a last thought: This set up may be early but... If it turns out jobs are vanishing the economic response is the rapid slowdown. And thus the rush will be to cut rates. But what if we are already feeling the effect of AI on jobs. What if that's happening faster than we thought and productivity is maintained. The economy in fact is NOT slowing down-AI is taking over human jobs. And you have responded in old school ways that actually reignites inflation?

I will say traffic to and from the airport was light and the airport itself was not very crowded. We use the priority line so that helps but the wait did not look that bad. Maybe we are slowing down economically using that metric-
