  1. I thought I owed you guys an update here-- Friday I eliminated GVA from my wife's IRA.

This was not because of anything GVA did but Fluor. These two have always been hitched in my mind and the market absolutely slapped down Fluor in a way I have not seen in Fluor's history.

The same could happen top GVA.

My original target of $95 has more or less been met and you can't do much better than $38--->$95

with the chart in turn over mode. This could even be elevated to a short position...
I have a $82-$83 ST target/////////// The stk reacted hard with a plunge to $90 interday and then bobbed back up.

  4. Obviously we came in late to the party. I feel a lot of good has happened since june. And the way the co has escaped tariffs.. this name should be trading north of $70 by now.

63 million adults are moonlighting as caregivers, with little support
AARP's report chronicles how caregivers are taking on debt, raiding their savings, and suffering career setbacks.

  6. Nearly half of caregivers are struggling with significant financial factors. More than 2 in 10 have taken on more debt, about a third have used up short-term savings, 3 in 10 have stopped saving, and roughly 20% are leaving bills unpaid or paying them late, according to the data.

At the same time, they are grappling with work and career fall out. More than 60% of caregivers are balancing their caregiving responsibilities while still employed, the report shows. And half report they reduced hours, have taken unpaid leave, or even quit their job entirely

  7. — On Wednesday, a report on gross domestic product — the broadest measure of the U.S. economy — showed that it grew at an annual rate of less than 1.3% during the first half of the year, down sharply from 2.8% growth last year.

“The economy's just kind of slogging forward,” said Guy Berger, senior fellow at the Burning Glass Institute, which studies employment trends. “Yes, the unemployment rate’s not going up, but we’re adding very few jobs. The economy’s been growing very slowly. It just looks like a ‘meh’ economy is continuing.”

More than six months into his term, Trump’s blitz of tariff hikes and his new tax and spending bill have remodeled America’s trading, manufacturing, energy and tax systems to his own liking. He’s eager to take credit for any wins that might occur and is hunting for someone else to blame if the financial situation starts to totter.

But as of now, this is not the boom the Republican president promised, and his ability to blame his Democratic predecessor, Joe Biden, for any economic challenges has faded.

Vegas is empty. Many people are reporting Vegas is deathly empty like Covid days. This gets back to prices being too high for everything but also to tourists going elsewhere and workers hiding from ICE raids. It's a bad cocktail that may spread to NYC.

Trump Promised to ‘Drill, Baby, Drill.’ The New Rigs Are Nowhere to Be Found

There is one key indicator of drilling levels that the industry has watched closely for more than 80 years: a weekly census of active oil and gas rigs published by Baker Hughes. When Trump came into office on Janunary 20, the US rig count was 580. Last week, the most recent figure, it was down to 542—hovering just above a four-year low reached earlier in the month.

    a 4 year low....

  9. Where does this leave us? My shoulder is fucked up. Someone needs to start a new thread full of relevant funny and sobering elements. It should be uplifting and profit making with an eye on predicting the future. It should have a certain amount of sex appeal. I have often described GBA as the Maxim Magazine of internet stocks. I will contribute pithy replies I will.. but someone needs to start something going.
