Dear NINE your verbiage here is past tense. And I'm really trying to get my arms around the moment. This Imperial Metals is hard to buy- IPMLF? Up 221% YTD. Is SCZ Santacruz Silver Mining Ltd.(SCZMF)-? 6 months up 226% ? These ideas are tough to get arms around. And seem very extended to buy. MAG silver is much easier. However I worry here @ $21.50 using 5 year charts... the stk should stop here. What I really think we need is a Co about to announce a huge gold discovery... any ideas?
Here are two names: Maybe not quite as extended // both have some new mine activity. We can revisit this down the road. If you are concerned about extended buys don't buy any mining stocks. Remember my thesis, late cycle commodity bull the best performers often are marginal players who turn profitable. I want to be paid to take on the risk. I added Oil exposure last week ( Baytex, MEG Energy, Tamarack Valley ). Stocks that tend to track Oil. Seems like a really good setup into Monday. Strictly a trade for now.
Nine check this out. I was randomly looking at insider buying at various gold names and as could be imagined none of them had any and I puit an old fashioned name in and Ka-Pow Newmont Corporation (NEM 57.90 +1.98 (+3.54%) At close: June 13 at 4:00:02 PM EDT 58.00 +0.10 (+0.17%) After hours: June 13 at 7:58:59 PM EDT Insider Transactions Insider Purchases Last 6 Months-19 Shares Transactions Purchases 207,752
Newmont(NEM) climbed above the 57.16 buy point of acup-with-handle pattern. But volume was light and shares were struggling to stay above the entry. Denver-based Newmont has a 98. I was looking at Baytex but they missed 3 of the last 4 qtrs. This Tamarack may be the one for us Nine.- Tamarack Valley Energy Overview:Tamarack Valley Energy is a Canadian oil and gas company focused on exploration and production, with a market cap of approximately CA$1.95 billion. Operations:The company generates revenue primarily from its oil and gas exploration and production activities, reporting CA$1.44 billion in the most recent period. Over time, the gross profit margin has shown fluctuations, reaching 79.98% recently, reflecting changes in cost of goods sold relative to revenue. Operating expenses have varied significantly, impacting net income margins which have also experienced considerable variation across periods. PE:9.1x <-- YES!!!!! Tamarack Valley Energy, a smaller energy player, recently faced a CAD 25,500 penalty from the Alberta Energy Regulator for reporting lapses. Whoops! Despite this, they reported strong Q1 2025 results with CAD 332 million in revenue and net income of CAD 64 million. President Brian Schmidt's purchase of 415,500 shares for over CAD 1.45 million signals insider confidence. The company repurchased significant shares worth CAD 145 million since January 2024. However, earnings are projected to decline by an average of nearly one-third annually over the next three years due to reliance on external borrowing for funding. Ayyy there's that borrowing bugaboo.
