GBA PRESENTS- the public games

  1. We did pretty good yesterday pocketing $450. We did pick a horse off the pre parade walk out who won, you can tell at times ears forward and non lathering etc. Listening to the reporter on scene is the best way to get a hint about a certain horse.

  2. Watching rider assignments when jockeys pick certain horses also pays off. Luis Saes rode Patch Adams a horse that beat him in the past. That was a pretty good lead.

Also in the final race the winner Sovereignty walked out like he owned the place and his rival Journalism looked too mellow. That was enough for me to non bet that race.

  3. Sometimes a jockey that works with a certain trainer or owner will choose a surprise horse to ride ,not the assumed best horse in the stable that's another aspect to watch in horse racing.

Yesterday Fierceness I had some tickets on win and place. The reporter on scene mentioned that Raging Torrent had looked great and had a unusually fast practice trot and had a special rider assist in prep gate explosion tactics and they were really centering on exploding out first. As a sprinter on a muddy track that made a lot of sense and we cast a race-time bet then and won. Fierceness came in 2nd covering some place tickets as well.

  4. All in all despite bad weather the races came off for the most part. There were a ton of scratches in the early races some went off with only three horses. The Belmont race itself was a good race for sure.

Rodriguez gave his best and ran well but was no match for the big boys.

  5. Van where to we stand with this May 28 call? You are not down (market up from call) that much but please clarify. It would help my thinking. the HF wants to talk next week.

I am out of the loop.

Do you mean an ultimate top? Or just a daily top? or weekly?

Should I be bullish or bearish?

  6. I was going to be very negative regarding July 3rd time period./ But I'm open to any other thoughts..

I gave you two huge winners, Imperial Metals ( III.TO ) and Santa Cruz Silver ( SCZ.TO ). Imperial has almost doubled since I recommended it two months ago. Santa Cruz is up 43% in less then two weeks since I recommended it. I'm up at least 35K on these stocks since, temporarily sold Imperial but will buy back in tomorrow if Copper is fine. This has been a home run for me.

Taseko, ERO were very good recommendations but I've been trading both for 4 years and track them all the time. These stocks are Canadian companies with dual listings. I have an extended list of metals stocks I'm tracking now in Silver but Copper I have a core 6 I follow plus III and ARG being new this year. I hesitate to recommend the small caps because they are highly speculative and thinly traded but the ones I mention here are getting volume. There is no free money the ones that have huge days are also the ones that can suffer the most on the rug pull days. See Aya Silver last week.

From May 30th on this thread :

SCZ is now at $1 got as high as $1.13 then pulled back. All the others are up smartly as well except BIG has got stuck under resistance I've bailed until it shows any indication it can take out the sell order at $0.70 Cdn ( or Silver takes off but I'm liking the price action on some others better ). I did pare a third of SCZ at 0.76 with the quick gains my size was getting ridiculous but I do believe strongly in the stock. I have day traded some of that money in an extra layer on SCZ since.

I'm in on Silver small caps VZLA, AGX, BRC, GSVR, AAG and mid cap AYA. Speculative trades based on recent trading ranges ( I track a few others but some spiked up too fast ). Based on price action I didn't look into fundamentals except AYA did have strong earnings. I did see one source echoing my theory that more marginal Silver producers have the most upside potential as they flip from unprofitable to profitable at higher Silver prices. And coincidentally his biggest holding was also SCZ.

Great setup but high risk theme. I'll pull stuff quickly if the theme fails short term. I sold Imperial my largest Copper exposure because Copper was looking toppy late last week. I'm only holding ERO and Surge Copper.
