Canadian metal stocks tend to drop some before the big gap ups happen. I like TECK on these drops look at what ERO Copper is doing since it got hammered on tariff news. Taseko has also recovered quickly. When Torex Gold reported huge numbers last year I bought it at $14,05 Cdn and the next days it went to around $13.50. So I sold it at $14.20 I think and then it skyrocketed to $48. I thought about rebuying it around $16-17 but it's hard to do so when literally no one wanted it at $14 a week earlier. Also, TSX tends to be very weak on Fridays.
It'll eventually rally the TSX is like that. The play today was to bail on anything slightly up early and look to buy some of the drops later today. Copper stocks still looking far stronger then Gold/Silver stocks but some of the small caps have nice action in both. I think some of the drag on the Copper stocks like TECK is people fear Trump will interfere with the marketplace but in reality stuff like Copper and Potash are going to be in huge demand with limited supply. Somebody recommended Nutrien again. I have a bunch of stocks I love by end of year but I'm finding trading in and out of them is better until the trade war crap settles down.
