Benchmark has initiated coverage of Driven Brands (DRVN) with a Buy rating and a $22 price target, citing the company's expected "leaner, more focused" state after the Q2 divestiture of its U.S. car wash business, which the firm sees as a "classic Good Co/Bad Co transformation". STOCK SPOTLIGHT This Auto Stock With An Ideal Earnings Rating Offers Entry After 70% Run Charlotte, N.C.-based Driven is an automotive services company. Its segments include maintenance, car wash, paint, and collision and glass. It is selling its U.S. car wash business to Whistle Express Car Wash for $385 million and expects to close the deal in the second quarter. Chief Executive Jonathan Fitzpatrick said the move will allow it to reduce debt and focus its growing Take 5 Oil Change brand. Overall high performance shows up in its IBD Composite Rating of 94 out of best-possible 99. Earnings performance is a key strength for the auto stock, netting it an Earnings Per Share Rating of 99. Earnings are accelerating, rising by an average of 50% over the past three quarters. This steers comfortably clear of the 25% growth sought by those following Investor's Business Daily investing principles. It is also a leader, sitting at the top of IBD's Retail/Wholesale-Auto Parts industry group. Wall Street experts see more upside ahead for Driven. Analysts on the whole give it a buy rating with a 19.91 price target, according to TipRanks. Baird senior analyst Justin Kleber is particularly bullish on the stock. He rates it as a buy with a 25 price target and sees "significant value in shares." "With the overhang from U.S. Car Wash having been removed, and financial re-segmentation shining light on the growth engine that is Take 5, we see plenty of scope for multiple expansion as leverage continues to decline and management rebuilds investor confidence in the appeal and durability of this resilient/needs-based, highly franchised business," he said in a recent note to clients. Piper Sandler managing director Peter Keith has an overweight rating on the stock with a 22 target. "Selling U.S. Car Wash not only removes an underperforming, asset-heavy segment from results, but also provides (Driven) with a healthy cash infusion to pay down high interest rate debt," he said in a recent note. Driven Brands Stock Analysis Driven has rallied back into a buy zone from a prior double-bottom base entry of 16.93, MarketSurge analysis shows. Aggressive investors should now concentrate on a trendline entry which sits around the 17.60 level. The 5% buy zone here tops out at 18.48. Those who want to see Driven Brands prove itself could wait for a move above its recent high of 18.01, which would serve as another alternate entry. It has rallied back above since getting good support at its 200-day moving average on Feb. 25. More recently, the 50-day moving average has acted as support level, an encouraging sign. The relative strength line is making impressive progress on its weekly chart, and reflects outperformance vs. the broader S&P 500. ////////////////////////// Folks I don't know what to tell you DRVN is a great idea in a horrible market. Stay safe! ~si

Last night mama Brunson racoon was here pregnant again. I was very nice but when Hamilton showed up I was over the moon excited. They are related, Hamilton is the runt from Brunson's last litter. Then mama got startled and ran down the tree right into Hamilton and there was a loud commotion they fought a bit... That was scary. Hammy is alright and ate peanuts last night. Love that little guy.
