XPeng 'aiming to redefine mass-market EVs' with P5, says Morgan Stanley 09/16 XPEV,TM,VWAGY After Xpeng (XPEV) officially launched its P5 family sedan model yesterday, Morgan Stanley analyst Tim Hsaio said the company is "aiming to redefine the smart EV market" and that he believes the P5's features and technology will differentiate it from "me-too" products in the segment. The analyst, who believes the P5 features "competitive pricing and superior technology" when compared to the "best selling" Toyota (TM) Camry and VW (VWAGY) Magotan, highlights that investor feedback indicates they expect 8,000-10,000 units to be sold in 2021 and see the P5 outselling the P7 next year. Hsiao has an Overweight rating and $57 price target on Xpeng shares.
Former Navy SEAL Takes Shrooms, Decides to Save Nearly-Extinct Butterfly He's also using nature to help veterans cope with PTSD and trauma. Life-changing Shrooms A former Navy SEAL in California has a new mission in life that doesn’t have to do with covert military operations: saving the monarch butterfly. Mark Matzeldelaflor, a 37-year-old former Navy SEAL, founded a nonprofit called Guardian Grange with the goal of using nature to help military veterans cope with trauma and PTSD, according to NBC. Matzeldelaflor was inspired to create the organization after a magic mushroom trip with a friend. “I just reconnected to nature and my past, where I was like a kid in the woods,” Matzeldelaflor told NBC. “And I realized there’s so much healing in being outside in nature, getting your hands in the dirt and doing good work.” Save the Butterfly One of the first major projects for Guardian Grange was to help construct a Western monarch butterfly preserve to help revive the species’ dwindling population. “When I was a little boy, you could go up to a eucalyptus tree and if you shook a branch, thousands of monarch butterflies would fly off,” project partner Ole Schell said to NBC. Schell allowed the nonprofit to convert part of his ranch into the West Marin Monarch Sanctuary. “You could see hundreds of thousands of monarchs just filling the skies, but now you only see one or two a year. I wanted to do something to lure the butterflies back.” Matzeldelaflor hopes to do more projects like this one across the rest of the country — and hopefully help even more veterans struggling with trauma. “The biggest thing I’ve noticed about trauma and people going through the process of healing is that the strongest medicine is just being around other people,” he said to NBC. “I want to create a space for healing, but even beyond that, the creation of better ways of life.” READ MORE: Monarch butterflies are being wiped out. Could be nibbling time in uranium again. This is the beginning of uranium buying season for the utility companies. It's early, and if you enter a position I wouldn't take a full bite just yet, but when it moves it will be hard and fast. I really want to see how this futures page changes on Tuesday when the Oct. contracts start trading. Also. if you expand the list you'll see activity for spring of 2023 where there is none other than Sept. which of course will move to OCT. which I think starts trading on Tuesday. NYMEX Uranium (Globex) : NYMEX Futures Quotes and Market Prices (tradingcharts.com) SPUT didn't do any buying of uranium last two days of previous week. I'm still in NXE, out of all other positions. May just take a position in URA as most of the stocks just mirror that movement. UUUU and CCJ are safe big company plays, NXE a little less safe, DNN more risky, but with more upside potential simply because it's cheap and will attract more players. Uranium should do well between now and February unless there's a broad market collapse and/or a serious economic downturn. If it's business as usual, these stocks should do well over the next 4 months. So it is written, let it be done.
I meant to share these. Alphabetical order, some we've heard of, some we haven't. All publicly traded though, so there might be a few (somewhat) undiscovered diamonds in the rough. It's a newer company and not all that well established. They, like several other of the smaller companies have decided to purchase uranium in lieu of mining for it, which anything under 60 bucks a lb. is losing money for miners. That said, it'll probably move just like the others in tandem with uranium spot price though maybe not as much. Volume seems a bit low considering all the hype surrounding uranium these days. It's no more risky than say a DNN. Bottom line, uranium goes up, these stocks go up, all of them. Which ones go highest will depend on who gets the contracts signed.
universal music group started trading last week. what should have been a good week for PSTH ended up being good for pshzf, and a generation of investors now hates bill ackman. from Barron's: "Pershing Square Holdings could be sitting on a pretax profit of about $900 million. In Tuesday trading in Europe, Universal Music shares were at about 25.50 Euros, 37% above Ackman’s cost of 18.58 Euros. The big gain in Universal shares vindicates Ackman’s bullish take on the company and his willingness to buy roughly 10% of the world’s leading music company." https://www.barrons.com/articles/bi...inner-from-universal-musics-debut-51632239830 Universal Music Group NVUMG-NL:Euronext Amsterdam *Data is delayed | EUR Last | 2:58 PM CEST 23.69
