Hahahahahahahaahhahahahah You should have bought that damn March $280 call yesterday for $12.50 ! Hey this stock $YOU.... it's at $44. It has a real low float. I think it'll keep going up. They just signed a deal with Rite-Aid for a digital vaccine passport. They'll get a bunch of press one day and the stock will jump 10% on low float like that. I'd like it better near $40 though.
Poponak also upgrades Bombardier (OTCQX:BDRBF+8.2%) and Embraer (ERJ+12.5%) to Buy from Neutral; Embraer also said today that Bristow Groupplaced an order for up to 100 electric flying taxis.<----WTF
Hahahahahahahaahhahahahah You should have bought that damn March $280 call yesterday for $12.50 ! I had someone else buy them- he's up. You are such a mean man!
We have a large retail space near us and it has been taken over by the Container store. -Thesis: Storage is huge now. Every storage stk is way up and Manhattan Storage is rumored to have a buyout deal coming in the billions! Storing crap is hot. In a storage bin you don't just dump the stuff on the floor in the bin goes bins<-- CONTAINERS!!!! TCS has 50M shares outstanding and the stock is $10.85 for a market cap of $543M. TCS has $150M in net debt, but this should be worked down to ~$100M by the end of the calendar year. CON: Container Store sees Q2 EPS approximately 28c, consensus 28c 08/03 TCS Sees Q2 revenue growth of about 4%, consensus $261.97M. 4% growth not exactly sizzling. POS: New management is well thought of- Container Store CEO buys 20.5K shares of common stock 05/20/21 TCS In a regulatory filing, Container Store disclosed that its CEO Satish Malhotra bought 25.5K shares of common stock on May 20th in a total transaction size of $251K, boosting his stake by about 41%. May 20 stk was $12.32 Van? Shall we? The Container Store Group, Inc. (TCS) NYSE - Nasdaq Real Time Price. Currency in USD 11.04+0.43 (+4.05%) As of 1:46PM EDT.
1. CEO change Earlier in the year, TCS brought on a new CEO, Satish Malhotra, who was previously the Chief Retail Officer and COO for Sephora Americas. The prior management team was long tenured and sleepy, Malhotra brings a ton of new energy and great ideas to a company that has previously (for the most part) been complacent toward attacking growth opportunities and leveraging TCS’s many great aspects. 2. Really moving hard into custom closets- The custom closets industry is very fragmented and primarily made up of local mom and pop shops/showrooms, there are few franchised concepts with California Closets being the largest with 155 stores. Former Regional Director of Sales at The Container Store - “But the people coming in for closets is small compared to those that are coming in to just buy hangers, shoe boxes, food storage. Those are the things that when you just ask Jim Doe and Sally Doe on Main Street what does The Container Store do, they say, "Oh, yes, they sell Tupperware and hangers and shoeboxes." And so, that's what really we felt. Our goal is to find the customer looking at hangers and introduce them to custom closets.” … I think probably why they're extremely well-positioned is just in the quality and craftsmanship of the product. Elfa has always been the leader in low cost, has some closets and shelving systems. They make the Avera line as well. We partnered with The Stow Company, which produces our Laren. And it is actually a premier solution out there, extremely well-made, the finest materials and really strong, strong customization ability. So from a product standpoint, extremely well-positioned. It should be squashing the competition. The thing that's probably holding them back is strategy and execution to do that. And this is where I'm hoping the new CEO sees this and can direct the company differently in the future.” CEO Malhotra has brought in new talent to attack this opportunity, management claims they are seeing more contract wins with builders, high rises, senior living facilities, etc. This is easily another $100M/year opportunity at ~25% contribution margin, or potentially $25M in further annual EBITDA contribution.
